Harvey Hits was an American comic book series, published by Harvey Comics. The series ran from September 1957 to November 1967; in all, 122 issues were published.Overstreet, Robert (2009). ''Harvey Hits'' was similar to DC Comics' ''Showcase'' in that it was an anthology tryout series which often featured characters that did not have their own comic series. ''Harvey Hits'' should not be confused with ''Harvey Comics Hits'', which ran in the early 1950s, or ''Harvey Hits Comics'', which ran from 1986-87 during a revival of the Harvey Comics line. Several issues of ''Harvey Hits'' are notable. Issue #3 (November 1957) was the first comic book to feature Richie Rich prominently; #7 (March 1958) was the first comic devoted to Wendy, the Good Little Witch. Harvey Comics
Harvey Comics (also known as Harvey World Famous Comics, Harvey Publications, Harvey Comics Entertainment, Harvey Hits, Harvey Illustrated Humor, and Harvey Picture Magazines) was an American comic book publisher, founded in New York City by Alfred Harvey in 1941, after buying out the small publisher Brookwood Publications. His brothers, Robert B. and Leon Harvey, joined shortly after. The company soon got into licensed characters, which by the 1950s, became the bulk of their output. The artist Warren Kremer is closely associated with the publisher. Harvey Comics' most notable characters are Casper the Friendly Ghost and Richie Rich (character), Richie Rich. Harvey's mascot is named Joker, a harlequin jack-in-the-box character. He was also the mascot of the cartoon shorts series ''Noveltoons'' which brought to life many Harvey Comics characters and also appeared as a cameo in the ending scene of the film ''Who Framed Roger Rabbit'', alongside many other famous cartoon characters. ...

Richie Rich (comics)
Richard "Richie" $ Rich Jr. (often stylized as Ri¢hie Ri¢h) is a fictional character in the Harvey Comics universe. He debuted in '' Little Dot'' #1, cover-dated September 1953, and was created by Alfred Harvey and Warren Kremer. Dubbed "the poor little rich boy", Richie is the only child of fantastically wealthy parents and is the world's richest kid. He is so rich, his middle name is a dollar sign, $. During Harvey Comics' heyday from 1950 to 1982, Richie was the publisher's most popular character, eventually starring in over 50 separate titles, including the long-running comics ''Richie Rich'', ''Richie Rich Millions'', ''Richie Rich Dollars and Cents'', and ''Richie Rich Success Stories''. In 2011, Ape Entertainment began publishing a new licensed Richie Rich comic book series, taking the character in a very different, action-oriented, direction.

Wendy The Good Little Witch
Wendy the Good Little Witch is a fictional comic book character from Harvey Comics. Like Casper the Friendly Ghost and Hot Stuff the Little Devil, Wendy is an opposite-type character, a girl witch who does good deeds. Publication history Wendy was introduced as a back-up feature as well as a companion for Casper in ''Casper the Friendly Ghost'' #20, May 1954. Casper met and befriended her after stopping a major battle between the witches and ghosts. Soon, she was trialed in ''Harvey Hits'', starting with #7. After a total of six appearances, she received her own title, ''Wendy the Good Little Witch'', in August 1960. Other ancillary titles featuring the pleasant young witch include '' Wendy Witch World'' (October 1961 to September 1974), and ''Casper and Wendy'' (September 1972 to November 1973). Stumbo The Giant
Stumbo the Giant is a fictional Harvey Comics character. He lives right next to Tinytown, and everyone in Tinytown loves him, despite his tendencies to keep them awake with his loud snoring, or to shake up the town with his laughter or by accidentally stomping or falling on the ground. However, he never means to do these things and always has Tinytown's best interests at heart. Among his best friends are Tinytown's Officer O'Floodle and The Mayor. According to Toonopedia, Stumbo's creator was Warren Kremer, and the giant first appeared in 1957. He mostly appeared as a secondary character in Harvey's Hot Stuff comics but also had a comics series of his own from August 1963 to November 1966. Stumbo used to crush houses by accident. Art Baltazar
Arthee "Art" Baltazar (born 1968) is an American comics artist and writer who currently works for DC Comics. Career Art Baltazar started making comic books with his self-published comic book, ''The Cray-Baby Adventures''. Since then he has created such other comics as ''Gyro-Man'', ''Captain Camel & the Space Chicken'', ''Jimmy Dydo'', ''Lunar Lizard'', ''Meteor Mite'', and ''Patrick the Wolf Boy''. Baltazar briefly worked with Warner Bros. and had a monthly comic strip in ''Disney Adventures Magazine'' titled "Gorilla Gorilla!". Baltazar has completed a graphic novel titled ''The Big Amoeba'' for Platinum Studios.
