Hartcliffe Lodge
Hartcliffe is the name of both a council ward and an Outer Suburb of the city of Bristol in the United Kingdom which lies within that ward. The ward contains the areas of Hartcliffe and Headley Park, as well as small portions of Withywood and Bishopsworth. Hartcliffe is a post-World War II suburban development, consisting largely of council houses. It is one of the poorer areas of Bristol, with significant social problems exacerbated by the decline of industrial employment in the city. Regeneration efforts are underway. Lakeshore, Bristol
Lakeshore is a development of flats in the Bishopsworth area of south Bristol, England. It is a Grade II listed building. The building uses a structure of Cor-Ten Steel which is left from the headquarters building of Imperial Tobacco which was built in the 1960s. The tobacco factory and offices closed by 1990 and partially demolished, before being given listed status and then left for ten years. The surrounding factory has been demolished and is now the site of a shopping centre. The new development of 422 homes and its surrounding landscapes grounds and facilities has been built in a Sustainability, sustainable way, including the use of Geothermal gradient, geothermal energy. Knowle West
Knowle West is a neighbourhood situated on a low plateau in the south of Bristol, England, about 2 miles (3 km) from the centre of the city. Historically in Somerset, most of the area is coterminous with the Filwood ward of Bristol City Council, although a small part of the estate lies within Knowle ward to the east. To the west are Bishopsworth and Hartcliffe. To the north are Bedminster and Windmill Hill and to the south Whitchurch Park and Hengrove. In 2008 the population was estimated to be 11,787. Bridge Learning Campus
Bridge Learning Campus is a mixed gender all-through school located in the Whitchurch Park area of Bristol, England. History Its construction was completed in December 2008, opening to students the following January. It was officially opened by The Princess Royal in October 2009. BLC, as an all through school, enjoys a rare identity as one of only a handful of schools in the UK where a child can begin and end their entire school career within the same establishment. There are many potential benefits to this approach, both operationally for the school and ultimately for the educational progress of the pupils.
