Harry Gration
Harry John Gration (22 October 1950 – 24 June 2022) was an English journalist and broadcaster. He was one of the main anchors for the BBC Yorkshire regional magazine programme '' Look North''. He was often referred to as ''Mr. Yorkshire'' by the media. Early life Born in Bradford, West Riding of Yorkshire, to Nina (nee Smith) and Morris Gration, Gration was raised in a back-to-back house in the city. His father was a chemist who was a manager at a Boots store in the city and promotion took the family first to Leeds, then York. Gration was educated at Leeds Grammar School and at St Peter's School in York, and after leaving education, he initially spent five years as a history teacher and eventually, a head of history at The Rodillian Academy, a school in Lofthouse, near Leeds. The Guardian
''The Guardian'' is a British daily newspaper. It was founded in 1821 as ''The Manchester Guardian'', and changed its name in 1959. Christa Ackroyd
Christa Marion Ackroyd is an English journalist and broadcaster, best known as a former presenter for the regional TV news programmes ''Calendar'' (for ITV Yorkshire) and ''BBC Look North''. Early life Ackroyd, whose father was a policeman, attended Hanson Girls' Grammar School (now Hanson Academy) from 1968 (which had moved to its new site in Five Lane Ends in 1967), which became the co-educational comprehensive Hanson School in 1972. Career Print and radio After leaving school, Ackroyd spent four years working for the ''Halifax Courier''. She began her broadcasting career in the newsroom of commercial radio station Pennine Radio in Bradford (now The Pulse of West Yorkshire), where she led the station's coverage of the Yorkshire Ripper case. Burn, North Yorkshire
Burn is a village and civil parish in the Selby District, North Yorkshire, England. It is situated some three miles south of Selby. The village is mainly situated around the main A19 road with the addition of a small housing estate built in the mid-1960s to the west of the main road. The village was historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire until 1974. History To the east of the A19 is Burn Airfield, built in 1942 as a bomber airfield in the Second World War. The airfield was owned by Yorkshire Forward (the regional development agency) prior to the dissolution of that body in 2012, and is now owned by the Homes and Communities Agency. Paul Hudson
Paul David Hudson (born 27 February 1971) is an English weather presenter for BBC Yorkshire and BBC Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. Hudson was born and raised in Keighley, West Yorkshire. He was made an Honorary Fellow of Bradford College in 2014. After reading geophysics and planetary physics at Newcastle University, Hudson joined the Met Office and trained for two years at Leeds Weather Centre. Hudson combined this with a two-year stint as a weather presenter for BBC Look North and for the BBC local radio stations in Leeds, York, Humberside and Sheffield. Wetwang is a Yorkshire Wolds village and civil parish in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England, west of Driffield on the A166 road. Berwick Kaler (born 31 October 1946) is a British actor most famous for playing the dame in York Theatre Royal's annual pantomime, which he also wrote and directed. York Theatre Royal is a theatre in St Leonard's Place, in York, England, which dates back to 1744. The theatre currently seats 750 people. Whilst the theatre is traditionally a proscenium theatre, it was reconfigured for a season in 2011 to offer productions in-the-round. The theatre puts on many of its own productions, as well as hosting touring companies, one of which is Pilot Theatre, a national touring company which often co-produces its work with the theatre. Reliant Robin
The Reliant Robin is a small three-wheeled car produced by the Reliant Motor Company in Tamworth, England. It was offered in several versions (Mk1, Mk2 and Mk3) over a period of 30 years. It is the second-most popular fibreglass car in history, with Reliant being the second-biggest British car manufacturer for a time.
