Harry Frost (educationalist)
Henry Frost (August 17, 1914 — March 28, 1973) was a Canadian professional ice hockey forward who played two regular games and one playoff game in the National Hockey League for the Boston Bruins during the 1938–39 season. Boston won the Stanley Cup that year, and added Frost's name on the Cup. The rest of Frost's career, which lasted from 1935 to 1952, was spent in different minor leagues. He was born in Kerr Lake, Ontario, but grew up in New Liskeard, Ontario Temiskaming Shores is a city in the Timiskaming District in Northeastern Ontario, Canada. Point (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, point has three contemporary meanings. Personal stat A point is awarded to a player for each goal scored or assist earned. The total number of goals plus assists equals total points. The Art Ross Trophy is awarded to the National Hockey League (NHL) player who leads the league in scoring points at the end of the regular season. Team stat Points are also awarded to assess standings (or rankings). Historically, teams were awarded two points for each win, one point for each tie and no points for a loss. Philadelphia Rockets
The Philadelphia Rockets were a minor professional ice hockey team based in the Philadelphia Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Rockets played for three seasons in American Hockey League from 1946 to 1949. Previously another Rockets team existed for the 1941–42 AHL season, formerly known as the Philadelphia Ramblers. When the original Rockets folded in 1942, they were replaced by the Philadelphia Falcons of the Eastern Hockey League. In 1946, the Falcons were replaced by the second Rockets team in the AHL. The 1938–39 AHL season was the third season of the International-American Hockey League, known in the present day as the American Hockey League. It was also the first season that the I-AHL played as a fully unified league. Eastern Hockey League
The Eastern Hockey League was a minor professional United States ice hockey league. Eastern Amateur Hockey League (1933–1953) The league was founded in 1933 as the Eastern Amateur Hockey League (EAHL). The league was founded by Tommy Lockhart, who served as its commissioner from 1937 to 1972. Lockhart, who operated a small intramural hockey league at New York City's Madison Square Garden, offered his teams – and the use of the MSG ice – in exchange for joining the league.
