Harry Devereaux Fisher (January 3, 1926 – September 20, 1981) was a Canadian professional baseball baseball player, player. Primarily a right-handed pitcher, his skill as a batter also enabled him to play outfield in minor league baseball and pinch hit at both the minor and Major League Baseball, Major League levels. He batted left-handed, stood tall and weighed (12 stone (unit), stone 12). Career Fisher's professional baseball, professional career lasted for 12 seasons (1947–54; 1956–59). In 1949–50, with the New Orleans Pelicans (baseball), New Orleans Pelicans of the Double-A Southern Association, Fisher batting average (baseball), batted .397 and .423 in successive seasons, although, as a pitcher (and part-time outfielder in 1950), he was well short of enough at bats (58 and 156, respectively) or plate appearances to win the SA batting championship. Harry Conway "Bud" Fisher (April 3, 1885 – September 7, 1954) was an American cartoonist who created ''Mutt and Jeff'', the first successful daily comic strip in the United States. Early life Born in Chicago, Illinois, the son of a merchant, Fisher attended public high school and then studied for three years at the University of Chicago. After a short-lived attempt at prizefighting, he began painting comic signs and for window displays before becoming a layout person in the production department of the ''San Francisco Chronicle'', where he soon became a cartoonist. He introduced ''A. Mutt'', the comic strip that would be better known by its later title, ''Mutt and Jeff'', on November 15, 1907, on the sports pages of the ''San Francisco Chronicle''. ''The Voice UK'' is a British television music competition to find new singing talent. The fifth series began airing on 9 January 2016 on BBC One. The series is hosted by Emma Willis and Marvin Humes, and are joined by coaches will.i.am and Ricky Wilson. Rita Ora did not appear in this series of the show after joining ''The X Factor'' and was replaced by Boy George. In addition, Sir Tom Jones did not return and was replaced by Paloma Faith, leaving will.i.am as the only coach remaining from the inaugural series. The fifth series was the last to be aired on BBC One as ''The Voice UK'' would move to ITV in 2017. On 13 November, Wilson confirmed that this would be his last series. Harrison Fisher (July 27, 1875 or 1877 – January 19, 1934) was an American illustrator. Career Fisher was born in Brooklyn, New York City and began to draw at an early age.
