Harry Clifton was an actor in silent movies in the USA from 1908 to 1919, not to be confused with the producer of the same name. Career IMDB lists one Harry Clifton as both an actor and a producer, but this is a conflation: the productions belong to a different Harry Clifton. The James–Younger Gang was a notable 19th-century gang of United States, American outlaws that revolved around Jesse James and his brother Frank James. The gang was based in the state of Missouri, the home of most of the members. Membership fluctuated from robbery to robbery, as the outlaws' raids were usually separated by many months. Harold Clayton Lloyd, Sr. (April 20, 1893 – March 8, 1971) was an American actor, comedian, and stunt performer who appeared in many silent comedy films.Obituary ''Variety'', March 10, 1971, page 55. One of the most influential film comedians of the silent film era, Lloyd made nearly 200 comedy films, both silent and "talkies", between 1914 and 1947. His bespectacled "Glass" character was a resourceful, ambitious go-getter who matched the zeitgeist of the 1920s-era United States. Stan Laurel (born Arthur Stanley Jefferson; 16 June 1890 – 23 February 1965) was an English comic actor, writer, and film director who was one half of the comedy double act, duo Laurel and Hardy. He appeared with his comedy partner Oliver Hardy in 107 short films, feature films, and cameo roles. Laurel began his career in music hall, where he developed a number of his standard comic devices, including the bowler hat, the deep comic gravity, and the nonsensical understatement. ''Hey There!'' is a 1918 American short comedy film featuring Harold Lloyd. Like many American films of the time, ''Hey There!'' was subject to cuts by city and state film censorship boards. For example, the Chicago Board of Censors required cuts of the man standing on his head to look at a woman's legs and the scene with a fat woman with her kimono lowered from her shoulders. Plot While buying a snack at a concession stand, Harold encounters a pretty girl (Bebe). Harold is smitten with her. While the oblivious Bebe is walking to her waiting car, she accidentally drops a letter. Harold sees the letter fall, picks it up, and tries to return it to her. ''Just Rambling Along'' is a 1918 American short silent comedy film featuring Stan Laurel. The film is Laurel's earliest surviving work and the first project he did with film producer Hal Roach, who later put out a large portion of the Laurel and Hardy films. Plot The story is of a poor young sap who can't seem to get a break. He's thrown out of a diner, and then finds a wallet, which is immediately snatched away from him by a little boy. Stan tries to fight the boy for it, but the boy's father, a police officer, stops him. Stan gives up and walks away. Next the Pretty Young Lady ( Mildred Reardon) woos him and a park bench full of men back into the diner. When the hostess sees Stan, she kicks him out on his rear end.
