Harris Park railway station is located on the Main Western line, serving the Sydney suburb of Harris Park. Harris Park
Harris Park is a suburb of Greater Western Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Harris Park is located 19 kilometres west of the Sydney central business district in the local government area of the City of Parramatta and is part of the Greater Western Sydney region. Harris Park has a plurality Indian and Hindu population, both making up the largest ethnic and religious group. Harris Park is the home of several historic sites, including Experiment Farm. History James Ruse was the first convict to be granted land in the colony, by Governor Arthur Phillip in this area in 1791. He developed Australia's first private farm known as Experiment Farm, which sowed the first wheat in Australia. In railroad structures, and rail terminology, a wye (like the'' 'Y' ''glyph) or triangular junction (often shortened to just "triangle") is a triangular joining arrangement of three rail lines with a railroad switch (set of points) at each corner connecting to each incoming line. A turning wye is a specific case. Where two rail lines join, or in a joint between a railroad's mainline and a spur, wyes can be used at a mainline rail junction to allow incoming trains the ability to travel in either direction, or in order to allow trains to pass from one line to the other line. Schofields Railway Station
Schofields railway station is located on the Richmond line, serving the Sydney suburb of Schofields. It is served by Sydney Trains T1 Western and T5 Cumberland line services. History Schofields station opened in 1870. It was named after John Schofield, a local pioneer who was a former convict who later settled in the area after building a saw mill beside the railway line. The former station was originally opened as a siding stop with a platform made from railway sleepers in the early 1870s on the western side of the track, which was later rebuilt in brick in 1888 along with a goods loop after the Richmond line was upgraded by John Whitton the then Engineer-in-Chief. Leppington Railway Station
Leppington railway station is the terminus of the South West Rail Link which serves the south-western Sydney suburb of Leppington. It opened on 8 February 2015. A ten road stabling facility is located to the west of the station at Rossmore. There are 850 car park spaces available. Platforms and services Leppington has two island platforms with four faces. Initial services consisted of a half-hourly shuttle to Liverpool. From 13 December 2015, trains operate directly to the city via Granville. Berowra Railway Station
Berowra railway station is located on the Main Northern line, serving the Sydney suburb of Berowra. It is served by Sydney Trains T1 North Shore Line services and NSW TrainLink Central Coast & Newcastle Line services. History Berowra station opened on 7 April 1887 when the Main Northern line was extended from Hornsby to Hawkesbury River. In 1909, the line was duplicated and the present island platform built. On 23 October 1983, a passing loop was opened opposite the platform. This allowed suburban services to terminate, and from January 1992, Berowra became the northern boundary of the Sydney suburban network replacing Cowan.
