Harriet (fishing Smack)
Fleetwood Museum is a local history and maritime museum in the English seaside town of Fleetwood, Lancashire. The museum was originally the town's Customs House and, completed in 1836, was one of the first buildings constructed in Fleetwood. Like much of the town it was designed by architect Decimus Burton. The building became the local town hall and is now a maritime museum. It has been designated a Grade II listed building by Historic England. History Fleetwood was planned by local landowner Peter Hesketh-Fleetwood who employed Decimus Burton to lay out the town and design many of the buildings. Hesketh-Fleetwood intended his town to be a major port and Burton designed the Customs House as one of the first buildings, completed in 1836. In 1876 it became the private residence of Alexander Carson, who extended the building to the north, and named it "Wyre Holm"; the customs offices were transferred to another building on the same terrace. The building became Fleetwood's Town ...

Harriet (1829 Ship)
''Harriet'' was a former vessel of the British Royal Navy, probably the . The Navy sold her in 1829 and her new owners deployed her as a whaler in the British Southern Whale Fishery. She made three complete whaling voyages and was wrecked in July 1837 during her fourth. Origins ''LR'' gave ''Harriet''s origin as "Kgs Yd", signalling that she had been built for the Navy. The ''Register of Shipping'' (''RS'') identified where she was built as Ipswich. Both registers gave her launch year as 1813. There were three vessels built for the Navy in Ipswich in 1813 that were sold in 1828 or 1829 and of a burthen similar to ''Harriet''s. All three were ''Cruizer''-class brig sloops of about 386 tons (bm): , , and . ''Fly'' was sold in Bombay in 1828, and ''Harlequin'' was sold in Jamaica in September 1829. ''Fly''s purchaser could have sailed her to Britain for resale, with the result that although ''Harriet'' is most probably the former ''Harrier'', the link cannot be verified definitiv ...

She returned to Port Jackson from New Zealand in September, with "spars, etc.", and sailed for London in December. She arrived back at Gravesend on 21 June ...
