Harriet Braine
Harriet Braine is a musical comedian and archivist. In 2017 she won the Funny Women Awards, for which she was mentored by Ellie Taylor, and she was Best Newcomer at the Musical Comedy Awards. The same year Braine was a finalist in the So You Think You're Funny? competition for new acts. Braine undertook a five-year Master of Arts course in fine art at Edinburgh College of Art, part of the University of Edinburgh. While studying, she joined Paradok, an alternative theatre group, and became president of the group in her final year. In 2017, Braine performed an hour-long show at the Edinburgh Fringe; titled 'Total Eclipse of the Art' the show was themed around art history, with one reviewer remarking on Braine's "impressive array of songs about Leonardo Da Vinci, Monet, Tracey Emin, ndPablo Picasso". Funny Women
Funny Women is an online and in-person workshop community dedicated to the support of female comedians. It was founded by Lynne Parker in 2002 as a reaction to misogynistic comments from a comedy promoter. Funny Women helps women find their voice, promote them, and assists charities. During the 2019 Funny Women Awards Final, Funny Women announced that their new Patron (renamed “Matron”), would be Jo Brand. Eleanor Jane Taylor is an English comedian, television personality, actress, and writer. So You Think You're Funny
So You Think You're Funny? (SYTYF) is an annual stand-up comedy competition for new acts. The competition began in 1988 in the United Kingdom. The finals are held every August at The Gilded Balloon during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Past winners include Aisling Bea, Dylan Moran, Lee Mack, Peter Kay and David O'Doherty. Bec Hill
Rebecca Natani Hill is an Australian comedian, writer, presenter, actor, director, and YouTuber born in Adelaide who is now based in the UK. Career Hill incorporates arts and crafts into her stand-up routines in something she calls paper puppetry. It can be likened to pop-up books or the Japanese storytelling technique Kamishibai. She took part in the first edition of the UK Kids' Comedy Festival, part of the 2019 Leicester Comedy Festival. Lucy Elizabeth Rogers (born 1973) is a British author, inventor, and engineer. She is a visiting professor of engineering, creativity and communication at Brunel University London and has served as a judge on the BBC Two show '' Robot Wars'' from 2016 to 2018.
