Harold Zucker
Harold Walter Zucker (23 December 1917 – 7 June 1947) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Hawthorn in the Victorian Football League (VFL). He kicked three goals in his three games for the club. He also played for the Sturt Football Club in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). Family The son of Friedrich William Zucker (1884–1937) and Ida Mary Zucker (?–1976), née Becker (later, Mrs C. Gangell), Harold Walter Zucker was born in Saddleworth, South Australia, on 23 December 1917. He married Esma Mary DeVerneis (1926–2008) (later known as Mrs. John William O'Brien) on 10 September 1945. They had one son, Geoffrey. Saddleworth, South Australia
Saddleworth is a small town in the Mid North region of South Australia. The town is situated on the Gilbert River and along with neighbouring towns of Riverton, Rhynie and Tarlee the local area is known as the Gilbert Valley. The town is bisected by the Barrier Highway. Saddleworth was originally established as one of many settlements on the road to Burra, and was named after ''Saddleworth Lodge'' pastoral station, a local landholding which itself was named after a civil parish on the edges of the Pennines in Yorkshire, England, part of which is in the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham near Greater Manchester, England. Joseph Dunn applied for a Publican's Licence to open a new Saddleworth Lodge in March 1846, and it was granted on the 14th of March 1846. West Terrace Cemetery
The West Terrace Cemetery is South Australia's oldest cemetery, first appearing on Colonel William Light's 1837 plan of Adelaide. The site is located in Park 23 of the Adelaide Park Lands just south-west of the Adelaide city centre, between West Terrace, Anzac Highway, Sir Donald Bradman Drive and the Seaford and Belair railway lines. Plympton is an inner south-western suburb of Adelaide, South Australia. The name is believed to have been given by Henry Mooringe Boswarva to a private subdivision in the area, naming after his home town in Devon, England. It was accepted as an official name for the suburb in 1944. Of irregular shape, the suburb straddles parts of Marion Road, Cross Road and Anzac Highway. Saddleworth is a civil parish of the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham in Greater Manchester, England.
