Harold McGluwa
Harold McGluwa is a South African politician serving as a Member of the Northern Cape Provincial Legislature since 2012. A member of the Democratic Alliance (DA), he has been its provincial leader in the Northern Cape since 2020. He was the DA's provincial chairperson from 2012 to 2020. He is also the party's chief whip in the legislature. McGluwa was the provincial head of the previous Independent Democrats (ID). McGluwa's brother, Joe McGluwa, serves as a Member of Parliament for the DA and was also the party's provincial leader in the North West. In 2020, McGluwa announced that he was a candidate for provincial leader of the DA. The provincial congress was held on 5 December 2020. The Democratic Alliance (, DA) is a South African list of political parties in South Africa, political party and the official opposition to the ruling African National Congress (ANC). Northern Cape
The Northern Cape is the largest and most sparsely populated province of South Africa. It was created in 1994 when the Cape Province was split up. Its capital is Kimberley. Andrew Louw (politician)
Andrew Louw (born 28 August 1969) is a South African politician who served as Leader of the Opposition in the Northern Cape Provincial Legislature from 2014 until 2021. He was the Provincial Leader of the Democratic Alliance in the Northern Cape from 2009 to 2020. He was previously a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa where he served as the Shadow Minister of Labour. Independent Democrats
The Independent Democrats (ID) was a South African political party, formed by former Pan Africanist Congress member Patricia de Lille in 2003 via floor crossing legislation. The party's platform was premised on opposition to corruption, with a mixture of liberal principles and strategies for improving equity. The party's strongholds were the Northern and Western Cape. Joe McGluwa
Joseph Job McGluwa (born 23 August 1963) is a South African politician who was the leader of the Democratic Alliance in the North West province from 2015 to 2020. He has been a member of the National Assembly since 16 August 2018. He was previously in the National Assembly from 2009 to 2015. McGluwa was a member of the North West Provincial Legislature from 2015 to 2018. Before becoming a member of the Democratic Alliance, he was a member of the now-defunct Independent Democrats. North West is a province of South Africa. Its capital is Mahikeng. The province is located to the west of the major population centre of Gauteng and south of Botswana. Willem Abraham Stephanus Aucamp is a South African politician from the Northern Cape. He has been a permanent delegate to the National Council of Provinces since 2019. He is one of six permanent delegates from the Northern Cape and is a member of the Democratic Alliance. Political career Aucamp's father was formerly the leader of the Afrikaner Eenheidsbeweging (AEB) but resigned in 2003 to form the National Action (NA). Fawzia Rhoda is a South African politician serving as a Member of the Northern Cape Provincial Legislature since May 2019. Rhoda is a member of the Democratic Alliance.
