Harold Martin (footballer)
Harold Martin (born 5 January 1950) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for Fitzroy in the Victorian Football League (VFL) and coached in the Victorian Football Association. Martin made only one appearance with the seniors at Fitzroy, with his debut coming in a 52-point loss to Carlton at Princes Park late in the 1968 VFL season. He then embarked on a long career in the VFA and captain-coached Sunshine from 1975 to 1977. As captain-coach of Preston, he took the club to a Grand Final in 1978, where they were beaten by Prahran, with Martin involved in an infamous fist fight with Sam Kekovich. Martin steered Preston to another Grand Final in 1981 but his team against ended the day disappointed. His next appointment was at Coburg, which he coached to third place in 1982. Harold Martin (February 25, 1918 – October 19, 2010) was an American Democratic Party (United States), Democratic Party politician who served a single term on the Bergen County, New Jersey Board of County Commissioners (New Jersey), Board of Chosen Freeholders and was elected to three terms in the New Jersey General Assembly, where he represented the New Jersey's 39th legislative district, 39th Legislative District. Harold Martin (born 6 April 1954, Nouméa, New Caledonia) is a French politician. He served twice as President of the Government of New Caledonia (from 7 August 2007 to 10 May 2009 and again from 3 March 2011 to 5 June 2014) and three times as President of the Congress of New Caledonia between 1997 and 2011 (most recently from 22 May 2009 to 3 March 2011). Former student as a site manager in the ESTP, Martin replaced Marie-Noëlle Thémereau in 2007 as the leader of the ruling Future Together party after the party suffered an electoral setback to choose the territory's two members of the French assembly. Harold Martin is an American drag racer in the IHRA series. He drives a Pro-Modified Pontiac Grand AM and is sponsored by ACDelco. In addition to driving competitively, he is president and CEO of Martin Technologies, a company creating technological solutions for automotive applications. Career Starting out as a General Motors engineer, Martin began working with various motorsports teams, making his racing debut in 2000 in the IHRA Pro-Modified division. Air Marshal Sir Harold Brownlow Morgan "Micky" Martin, (27 February 1918 – 3 November 1988) was an Australian bomber pilot and senior commander in the Royal Air Force (RAF). He took part in Operation Chastise, the RAF's "Dambusters" raid in 1943, and was described by journalist Sir Max Hastings as "one of the three great bomber pilots of the war". He rose to become a senior officer in the RAF, commanding RAF Germany and later serving as Air Member for Personnel, a member of the Air Council, the RAF's controlling body.
