Harold Francis Smiddy (June 3, 1900 – 8 September 1978) was an American engineer, business manager, and management consultant, known as the 17th president of General Electric,Bradley Bowden, David Lamond (2015), ''Management History: Its Global Past & Present.'' p. 174 and recipient of the Henry Laurence Gantt Medal in 1957. Southborough is a town in Worcester County, Massachusetts, United States. It incorporates the villages of Cordaville, Fayville, and Southville. Its name is often informally shortened to Southboro, a usage seen on many area signs and maps, though officially rejected by town ordinance. The Wallace Clark Award or Wallace Clark Medal is a former management award for Distinguished Contribution to Scientific Management, named after Henry Wallace Clark (1880-1948).
