''Harmonic Generator'' is a Japanese six track EP by New Zealand rock band The Datsuns The Datsuns are a hard rock band from Cambridge, New Zealand, formed in 1998. Founding mainstays are Rudolf "Dolf" de Borst on vocals and bass guitar, and Christian Livingstone and Phil Somervell, both on guitar. They have released seven albu .... It contains radio sessions of three songs and live studio recordings of a further three (see below for track listing). It also contains the music video for Harmonic Generator as an enhanced multimedia track. It is named after the guitar distortion pedal used on the track: the 'Prunes & Custard - Harmonic Generator Intermodulator' manufactured by Crowther Audio. The Datsuns
The Datsuns are a hard rock band from Cambridge, New Zealand, formed in 1998. Founding mainstays are Rudolf "Dolf" de Borst on vocals and bass guitar, and Christian Livingstone and Phil Somervell, both on guitar. They have released seven albums, with their debut self-titled album from October 2002 peaking at No. 1 in New Zealand and reaching the top 20 on the United Kingdom's Official Charts. They had relocated to London in 2002. Their second album, ''Outta Sight/Outta Mind'' (May 2004), appeared at No. 7 in New Zealand and top 60 in the UK. '' Smoke & Mirrors'' (October 2006), peaked in the top 20 in New Zealand. Early drummer Matt Osment was replaced by Ben Cole after that album. ''The Datsuns'' is the debut album of the New Zealand hard rock band The Datsuns. It was released in 2002 and had three songs which had previously appeared on 7" singles: "Sittin' Pretty", "Fink For The Man" and "Lady". A music video was produced for "In Love", which consists of a black and white concert footage of the song's performance.
