Hariri Pontarini Architects is a Toronto-based architectural practice founded by Siamak Hariri and David Pontarini. Established in 1994, HPA’s first critically acclaimed project was for McKinsey & Company's Toronto headquarters, which became one of the youngest buildings to be designated with Heritage Status by the City of Toronto. Siamak Hariri
Siamak Hariri, OAA, AAA, AIBC, FRAIC, RCA, Intl. Assoc. AIA (born 1958) is a Canadian architect and a founding partner of Hariri Pontarini Architects, a full-service architectural and interior design practice based in Toronto, Canada. Born in Bonn, Germany, Hariri was educated at the University of Waterloo (BES, '79) and Yale University (M.Arch, '85). Upon graduation, he worked at firms in New York and Toronto before founding Hariri Pontarini Architects with David Pontarini in 1994. MacLaren Art Centre
The MacLaren Art Centre is an art gallery and museum, located in Barrie, Ontario, Canada. It is named in honour of Maurice MacLaren, who bequeathed his Victorian home, Maple Hill, to the Barrie Gallery Project in 1989. The MacLaren Art Centre later moved to the former City of Barrie library, a Carnegie building, and added to it; the new gallery opened in September 2001. The building was designed by Siamak Hariri of Hariri Pontarini Architects.
