Claire Kober
Claire Kober OBE (born 1978) was a Labour Party politician and ex-council leader of the London Borough of Haringey, North London, England. In May 2018 she stepped down as councillor and council leader. Early life Kober spent her formative years on Canvey Island, Essex, where she attended Cornelius Vermuyden School. She initially studied German and History at Keele University, but after the first year switched to Modern History at the University of East Anglia, where she achieved BA (Hons). After graduating, Kober held positions with a number of charities, including End Child Poverty (2002–04), Leonard Cheshire Disability (2004-06), and Family Action (2006–08). In May 2006, Kober was elected as a councillor for the London Borough of Haringey. Alistair Burt
Alistair James Hendrie Burt (born 25 May 1955) is a British politician who served as Member of Parliament (MP) for North East Bedfordshire from 2001 until 2019. He was previously MP for his native Bury North in Greater Manchester from 1983 until 1997. Burt was Parliamentary Under Secretary of State then Minister of State at the Department of Social Security from 1992 to 1997, and Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office from 2010 to 2013. Burt was also Minister of State at the Department of Health from May 2015 to July 2016. First elected as a Conservative, Burt had the Conservative whip removed on 3 September 2019. Jonathan Toby Harris, Baron Harris of Haringey (born 11 October 1953) is a Labour Party (UK), Labour Party politician in the House of Lords. Family and education Harris was born in North London, the son of geneticist Professor Harry Harris (geneticist), Harry Harris and Muriel Harris (née Hargest), a teacher. He was educated at Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School, then a direct grant grammar school, which he attended on a local authority free place. Bernie Grant
Bernard Alexander Montgomery Grant (17 February 1944 – 8 April 2000) was a British Labour Party politician who was the Member of Parliament for Tottenham, London, from 1987 to his death in 2000. Biography Bernie Grant was born in Georgetown, British Guiana, to schoolteacher parents, who in 1963 took up the UK Government's offer to people from the crown colonies to settle in the UK. Grant attended Tottenham Technical College, and went on to take a degree course in Mining Engineering at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, but did not graduate. In the mid-1960s, he was, for a period, a member of the Socialist Labour League, led by Gerry Healy. This later became known as the Workers Revolutionary Party.
