Abram Harding "Hardy" Richardson (April 21, 1855 – January 14, 1931), also known as "Hardie" and "Old True Blue", was an American professional baseball player whose career spanned from 1875 to 1892 with a brief minor league comeback in 1898. He played 14 seasons in Major League Baseball, playing at every position, including 585 games at second base, 544 games in the outfield, and 178 games at third base. Hardy Falconer Parsons VC (13 June 1897 – 21 August 1917) was an English recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces. He was born in Rishton, Lancashire, the son of the Reverend James Ash Parsons and Henrietta Parsons, of Leysian Mission, City Road, London. He was educated at King Edward VII School, Lytham St Annes, Kingswood School, Bath, and as a medical student at the University of Bristol, preparing for medical missionary work. A commemorative stone was unveiled in his hometown of Rishton on 21 August 2017 at the town's war memorial to mark 100 years since he died. Hardy Pace (July 10, 1785 – December 5, 1864) was an American ferryman, miller, and early settler of Atlanta, Georgia. He is the namesake of Pace's Ferry, an important ferry in the 19th century; and all iterations of Paces Ferry Road in north Atlanta. Early life and ferry Pace was born in 1785 in Anson County, North Carolina to Stephen Pace and Catherine Gatewood Buchanan. In 1809, he moved to north Georgia. The area he settled is known today as Vinings, Georgia, but at the time was known as (Pace's) Crossroads and, later, Paces (now a neighborhood of Buckhead). By the 1830s, Pace had established a ferry service on the Chattahoochee River which connected north Georgia and Chattanooga. His ferry business was highly successful, and Pace became a significant landowner in the Vinings area, accumulating 10,000 acres by some estimates. Hardy Nilsson (born 23 June 1947) is a Swedish retired ice hockey player and coach. During his playing career he mainly played for Skellefteå AIK where he won the Swedish championships in 1978. In 1978 Nilsson moved to the German team Kölner Haie where he was very successful, scoring 21 goals and 102 points in 45 games. He ended his playing career in Örebro IK. Coaching career Nilsson started his coaching career in 1982 in Bofors IK before moving on to Modo Hockey which he coached for two seasons. He moved on to his former team Kölner Haie for the 1985-86 season winning three German championships in a row 1986–88. He played as linebacker for four teams over 16 seasons, from 1987 to 2002, in the National Football League (NFL). Nickerson spent the prime of his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Hardy Myers (October 25, 1939 – November 29, 2016) was an American lawyer and Democratic politician who served three terms as the 15th attorney general of the state of Oregon, United States. Prior to taking office in 1997, he served from 1975 to 1985 in the Oregon House of Representatives, the last four of those years as its speaker, and was also a Metro councilor and chaired the Oregon Criminal Justice Council. Hardy Murfree (June 5, 1752 – April 6, 1809) was a lieutenant colonel from North Carolina during the American Revolutionary War. Early life Murfree was born on June 5, 1752 at Murfree's Landing, North Carolina, later renamed Murfreesboro. His parents were William Murfree and Mary Moore.
