GC Viljoen (born 6 March 1989), known as Hardus Viljoen,Borland K (2016Viljoen desperate to earn a place in the national team, '' The Citizen'', 4 July 2016. Retrieved 23 August 2016. is a South African professional cricketer. Viljoen played for Lions in domestic cricket and made one Test match appearance for the South Africa national team. He is a right-arm fast bowler. Career Viljoen was called up to the South African squad for the first time on the last day of 2015 as cover for Kyle Abbott. He made his Test debut on 14 January 2016 against England, taking the wicket of England captain Alastair Cook with his first ball in Test cricket, the 20th player to achieve this feat. Witbank
Witbank (), officially Emalahleni, is a city situated on the Highveld of Mpumalanga, South Africa, within the Emalahleni Local Municipality. The name Witbank is Afrikaans for "white ridge", and is named after a white sandstone outcrop where wagon transport drivers rested. The city is known for its coal-mining in the surrounding region. Witbank was renamed to Emalahleni meaning the ''place of coal'' in 2006 by the government of Mpumalanga, matching the municipality. Witbank was founded in 1890 and early attempts to exploit the coal deposits failed until the railway from Pretoria reached the area in 1894. Twenty20 (T20) is a shortened game format of cricket. At the professional level, it was introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 for the inter-county competition. In a Twenty20 game, the two teams have a single innings each, which is restricted to a maximum of 20 overs. The Bristol County Ground (also known as Nevil Road and currently known as the Seat Unique Stadium for sponsorship reasons) is a senior cricket venue in Bristol, England. It is in the district of Ashley Down. The ground is home to Gloucestershire County Cricket Club. History Initially known as Ashley Down Ground, it was bought in 1889 by W. G. Gloucestershire County Cricket Club is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Gloucestershire. Sir Alastair Nathan Cook (born 25 December 1984) is an English cricketer who plays for Essex County Cricket Club, and played for England in all international formats from 2006 to 2018. Kyle Abbott (cricketer)
Kyle John Abbott (born 18 June 1987) is a South African cricketer. He is a right-arm fast-medium bowler who represented South Africa in Test, One Day International and Twenty20 International cricket between 2013 and 2017, before retiring to take up a contract with Hampshire in English county cricket. He previously played in South African domestic cricket for the Dolphins. In September 2019, Abbott took match figures of 17–86 in Hampshire's match against Somerset in the 2019 County Championship. The England cricket team toured South Africa from 15 December 2015 to 21 February 2016. The tour consisted of four Test matches, five One Day International and two Twenty20 International matches.
