The 2014 Hardcore Justice (also known as ''Impact Wrestling: Hardcore Justice'') was a professional wrestling event produced by Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). It took place on August 5, 2014, at the Grand Ballroom in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. It was the tenth event under the Hardcore Justice chronology and aired as a special edition of TNA's weekly broadcast of ''Impact Wrestling (TV series), Impact Wrestling'' on August 20, 2014. Five mock combat, professional wrestling matches were contested at the event. The main event was a Six Sides of Steel match to determine the #1 contender for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship contested between Bobby Roode, Eric Young (wrestler), Eric Young, Gunner (wrestler), Gunner, Austin Aries, Magnus (wrestler), Magnus and James Storm. Roode and Young simultaneously won the match to earn the title shot. Impact Wrestling (stylized as ''IMPACT! Wrestling''), is an American professional wrestling promotion based in Nashville, Tennessee. It is a subsidiary of Anthem Sports & Entertainment. Chad Lail (born June 6, 1982) is an American professional wrestler. He is best known for his time in Impact Wrestling under the ring name Gunner. Early life Chad Lail was born on June 6, 1982, in Hickory, North Carolina. He served in the Iraq War with the United States Marine Corps as a machine gunner, and reached the rank of a sergeant. The Impact X Division Championship is a professional wrestling championship created and promoted by Impact Wrestling. Samuel Robert Shaw (born January 17, 1984) is an American professional wrestler. He is currently signed to WWE, where he performs on the Raw brand under the ring name Dexter Lumis.
