"Hard Luck Woman" is a song by American hard rock band Kiss and the lead single from their 1976 album, ''Rock and Roll Over''. It was originally written by Paul Stanley as a possible track for Rod Stewart, but after the success of the soft rock ballad " Beth", Kiss decided to keep it for themselves as a follow-up.Leaf, David and Ken Sharp. Looking Glass is an American pop rock group of the early 1970s that was part of the Jersey Shore sound. Their 1972 song " Brandy (You're a Fine Girl)" was a #1 hit on both the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and ''Cash Box'' Top 100 charts, remaining in the top position for one week. Career The group was formed in 1969, at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. The ''Billboard'' Hot 100 is the music industry standard record chart in the United States for songs, published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine. Chart rankings are based on sales (physical and digital), radio play, and online streaming in the United States. The weekly tracking period for sales was initially Monday to Sunday when Nielsen started tracking sales in 1991, but was changed to Friday to Thursday in July 2015. ''RPM'' ( and later ) was a Canadian music-industry publication that featured song and album charts for Canada. The publication was founded by Walt Grealis in February 1964, supported through its existence by record label owner Stan Klees. ''RPM'' ceased publication in November 2000. ''RPM'' stood for "Records, Promotion, Music". The magazine's title varied over the years, including ''RPM Weekly'' and ''RPM Magazine''. Kent Music Report
The Kent Music Report was a weekly record chart of Australian music singles and albums which was compiled by music enthusiast David Kent from May 1974 through to January 1999. The chart was re-branded the Australian Music Report (AMR) in July 1987. From June 1988, the Australian Recording Industry Association, which had been using the top 50 portion of the report under licence since mid-1983, chose to produce their own listing as the ARIA Charts. Before the Kent Report, ''Go-Set'' magazine published weekly Top-40 Singles from 1966, and Album charts from 1970 until the magazine's demise in August 1974. ''Kiss Unplugged'' is a live album by the American rock band Kiss, released in 1996. It was recorded in studio for the television program ''MTV Unplugged'' and released as part of a series of live and video albums. It is the first Kiss live album that is not part of the ''Alive!'' series. Overview On August 9, 1995, the band performed at Sony Music Studios in New York City for the TV show ''MTV Unplugged''. Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons contacted former members Peter Criss and Ace Frehley and invited them to participate. ''Alive II'' is the second live album by American hard rock band Kiss, released on October 14, 1977, by Casablanca Records. The band had released three albums (''Destroyer'', ''Rock and Roll Over'', and ''Love Gun'') since the previous live outing, the 1975 release '' Alive!'', so they drew upon the variety of new tracks, with Eddie Kramer producing. The album is one of the best selling in the Kiss discography, being the band's first to be certified double platinum in February 1996, the same month the Kiss reunion was announced. It has remained a solid seller in the US in the Soundscan era, selling over 300,000 copies from 1991 and to March 2012.
