Hard Knocks Fighting is a mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion in North America. Hard Knocks Fighting was founded in 2009 by Canadian Olympic wrestler Ari Taub. Ari Taub (wrestler)
Ari Michael Taub (born January 19, 1971) is a Canadian Olympic Greco-Roman wrestler. He won two gold medals at the 1989 Maccabiah Games in Israel, and a gold medal at the 2007 Commonwealth Wrestling Championship. He competed for Canada in the 2008 Summer Olympics. Biography Taub was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, later lived in Vancouver, and is Jewish. He grew up in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and went to Henry Wise Wood High School. His height is 191 cm (6 ft 3 in), and he weighs 122kg (269 lb). He attended York University and Simon Fraser University (BBA, Finance '94) and UBC Law School ('96), and is an attorney. After law school he articled for a year at Ladner Downs in Vancouver. Canada Olympic Park (COP), formerly known as Paskapoo Ski Hill, is a ski hill and multi-purpose training and competition facility located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, owned and operated by WinSport. The paper was founded in 1943 by Margaret Lally "Ma" Murray and has been owned since 2006 by Glacier Media. The Art Hauser Centre (formerly the Communiplex) is a multi-purpose arena in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada. It was built in 1971 and is home to the Prince Albert Raiders Ice hockey team in the Western Hockey League. Its hockey capacity is 2,580 seated, plus another 786 spots that are standing-room only. The Art Hauser Centre was formerly known as the Prince Albert Communiplex, but it was renamed late in the 2004-2005 hockey season as part of the "Bring Back The Magic" campaign. This was an endeavour to raise money for extensive renovations to the Communiplex. In just under a month, the campaign raised over $3 million. The Calgary Soccer Centre (formerly called the Subway Soccer Centre) is an indoor soccer facility located in Calgary, Alberta. The soccer centre is owned and operated by the City of Calgary. The centre is a prime venue for many minor soccer teams in Calgary. History On Monday, November 22, 2010, the Soccer Centre's expansions (known most commonly as "the bubble") collapsed for the second time in two years. According to Perry Logan, the general manager, the collapse was most likely caused by a supporting anchor collapsing before carving a rip in the material. Nobody was inside the bubble and therefore no one was injured in the incident. Estevan is the eighth-largest city in Saskatchewan, Canada. It is approximately north of the Canada–United States border. The Souris River runs by the city.
