Hararit
Hararit ( he, הֲרָרִית; lit. "mountainous") is a community settlement in the Galilee, Israel. In it had a population of . History Hararit is located on the crest of Mount Netofa in the Lower Galilee. It was established in 1980 as part of a government-sponsored project initiated by Labor party member Nissim Zvili. It was part of a plan to bring more Jewish residents to the Galilee area. Initially it was supposed to be settled by a group of Rafael employees, but they rejected it, as it was too far from their workplace, and eventually it was settled by ''Shahaf'' ("Seagull"), a group of people dedicated to the principles of Transcendental Meditation (TM). Misgav Regional Council
The Misgav Regional Council ( he, מועצה אזורית משגב, ''Mo'atza Azorit Misgav'' ISO 259-3 ''Moˁaça ʔazorit Miśgabb'') is a regional council in the Galilee region in northern Israel. The regional council is home to 27,421 people, and comprises 35 small towns, mostly community settlements but also several Kibbutzim and Moshavim. The population of 29 of these is primarily Jewish, and 6 are Bedouin. The region is noted for the way that communities and non-Jewish communities live side-by-side. The administrative designation ''regional council'' does not imply that every town in some contiguous geographic region belongs to it. Most Arab-Israeli towns in the region are not part of the regional council, and are considered separate local councils. Transcendental Meditation
Transcendental Meditation (TM) is a form of silent mantra meditation advocated by the Transcendental Meditation movement. Maharishi Mahesh Yogi created the technique in India in the mid-1950s. Advocates of TM claim that the technique promotes a state of relaxed awareness, stress relief, and access to higher states of consciousness, as well as physiological benefits such as reducing the risk of heart disease and high blood pressure. Building on the teachings of his master Brahmananda Saraswati (known honorifically as Guru Dev), the Maharishi taught thousands of people during a series of world tours from 1958 to 1965, expressing his teachings in spiritual and religious terms. Helen Doron ( née Helen Rachel Lowenthal, 5 November 1955) is a British-Israeli linguist and educator based in Israel. She is best known as the creator of the Helen Doron Method of teaching and as the Founder of Helen Doron Educational Group, an international pedagogic network for babies, children, and teens learning English and other programs, including Helen Doron Academy Kindergartens, Helen Doron International, MathRiders and Helen Doron Connect. A community settlement ( he, יישוב קהילתי, ''Yishuv Kehilati'') is a type of village in Israel and the West Bank. While in an ordinary town anyone may buy property, in a community settlement the village's residents are organized in a cooperative. They have the power to approve or veto a sale of a house or a business to any buyer. Residents of a community settlement may have a particular shared ideology, religious perspective, or desired lifestyle which they wish to perpetuate by accepting only like-minded individuals. Nissim Zvili ( he, נסים זווילי, born 31 January 1942) is a former Israeli politician. Biography Born in Mahdia in Tunisia, Zvili made aliyah at a young age. He graduated from an agricultural high school and later served with the IDF. He took courses in political science at Bar-Ilan University and in public administration at Oxford and Cambridge. He began his political career during the 1980s and was elected as secretary general of the Moshav movement. As a member of the Labor Party, he was a keen supporter of Shimon Peres as party leader.
