Yasuko Harada (January 12, 1928 October 20, 2009) was a Japanese novelist. Early life and education Harada was born on January 12, 1928, in Tokyo. She and her family moved to Kushiro, Hokkaido when she was a year old for her father's job. After getting tuberculosis as a child, she had many health problems, including nephritis. She read a lot while she was ill in bed, especially fairy tales from foreign countries. She began writing her own fairy tales during World War II. Toward the end of the war she had to work in a factory as part of the National Mobilization Law. She hated it. After the war, Harada worked as a reporter for the Kushiro newspaper. She married Yoshio Sasaki in 1951. Career Harada's first books were serialized in magazines while she worked as a reporter. Her first published story, "Fuyu no ame", was published in 1949 in the ''Hokkaido Bungaku'' magazine. is a Japanese former Grand Prix motorcycle road racer. He was the 1993 FIM 250cc World Champion. Early years Born in Chiba, Japan, Harada won the Japanese 125cc Junior championship in 1988, and was runner-up to Tadayuki Okada in the All-Japan 250cc series in both 1990 and 1991, before taking the crown in 1992. In all three years he competed in the Japanese round of the 250cc World Championship, twice starting on the front row and twice scoring points. His performance earned him a sponsored ride in the 1993 250cc World Championship. 250 career Riding a Yamaha TZ250, he won four races including his home race and won the 1993 250cc World Championship in his first attempt defeating Honda's Loris Capirossi. Tasuku Harada
Tasuku Harada (December 20, 1863 – February 21, 1940) was a Japanese pastor and the president of Doshisha University from 1907 to 1919. Harada started the University of Hawaii's Japanese Studies department in 1922. Early life Harada was born in what is now Kumamoto, Japan in 1863. As a child he studied under Leroy Lansing Janes and converted to Christianity. He entered Doshisha University in 1880 and studied under Jo Niijima. He was baptized in 1881 and ordained as a pastor in 1885. He then served as the pastor of a church in Kobe until 1888. Harada then studied in America at the University of Chicago and Yale University, and graduated from the latter in 1890. He then went even further abroad to study in England and Germany.
