Happy Days (season 1)
This is a list of episodes from the first season of ''Happy Days''. The pilot for the series was aired on February 25, 1972, as part of an episode of '' Love, American Style'' in a segment titled "Love and the Television Set". For syndication reruns, this was retitled "Love and the Happy Days." The role of sister Joanie was played by 12-year-old Susan Neher. Father Howard was played by Harold Gould, and brother Chuck (Charles) was played by Ric Carrott. The story opens with the Cunninghams buying their first television set, an expensive novelty in the 1950s. Potsie convinces Richie to use that as an enticement to get a girl to agree to a date, which he does but in the end Richie gets crushed. His father uses his wisdom of experience to console him. Howard is so entranced by his new TV that he sits alone in the living room watching nothing but a test pattern and tone. Dick Bensfield
Richard Edward Bensfield (June 18, 1926 – June 24, 2016) was an American producer and screenwriter. He is the creator of the American sitcom television series ''Hello, Larry'', which he created with his writing partner Perry Grant. Career Bensfield and Grant met in 1952 when both were writing for ''The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet''. They continued to write for the show until its last season. Jerry Paris
William Gerald Paris (July 25, 1925 – March 31, 1986) was an American actor and director best known for playing Jerry Helper, the dentist and next-door neighbor of Rob and Laura Petrie, on ''The Dick Van Dyke Show'', and for directing the majority of the episodes of the sitcom ''Happy Days''. Mel Ferber
Mel Ferber (October 2, 1922 – June 19, 2003) was a television director and producer, who oversaw the live two-hour TV presentation of ''Wonderful Town'' and the pilot for ''60 Minutes'' and other shows. Ferber was an executive producer of ''Good Morning America''. He was a member of the Directors Guild of America. Rock Around The Clock
"Rock Around the Clock" is a rock and roll song in the 12-bar blues format written by Max C. Freedman and James E. Myers (the latter being under the pseudonym "Jimmy De Knight") in 1952. The best-known and most successful rendition was recorded by Bill Haley & His Comets in 1954 for American Decca. It was a number one single for two months and did well on the United Kingdom charts; the recording also reentered the UK Singles Chart in the 1960s and 1970s. This is the first Rock and Roll record to top the Pop Charts in both the US and UK. Beatrice Colen
Beatrice Colen (January 10, 1948 – November 18, 1999) was an American television and film actress. Her most famous roles were Marsha Simms on ''Happy Days'' and Etta Candy on ''Wonder Woman''. Early life Colen was born to Anne and Bruce D Colen in New York City, New York. Both of her parents were of German Jewish descent. She was the granddaughter of playwright George S. Kaufman.
