Happy Clappers were a house studio project from the UK, featuring Chris Scott, Graeme Ripley, Martin Knotts and Mark Topham, with Sandra Edwards on vocals. Biography Happy Clappers scored chart success in the UK and Ireland from 1995 to 1997. Their highest peak in the UK charts was number seven with " I Believe". Other UK hits included "Hold On", "Can't Help It" and "Never Again". Their debut album "Games" which includes all their hit singles including the 97 remix of "I Believe" was released in 1997 without chart success. " I Believe" was never released in the US until American producer Chris Cox remixed it in 2002. It achieved major club success peaking at number-one on the US Club Play charts. "I Believe" is a song by British House music, house studio project Happy Clappers, featuring singer Sandra Edwards on vocals, released by Shindig, East West Records, EastWest and PWL International as the debut single from the project's only album, ''Games'' (1997). The song was mixed by Nobby (aka Martin Neary) and re-released two times during 1995, before peaking at number seven on the UK Singles Chart. But on the UK Dance Chart, it was even more successful, reaching number-one in June 1995. In 1997, a remix reached number 28 in the UK. Six years later, in 2003, a remix by American DJ Chris Cox (DJ), Chris Cox peaked at number-one on the US ''Billboard (magazine), Billboard'' Hot Dance Club Play chart, finally seeing the track being released also in the US. The Official Albums Chart is a list of albums ranked by physical and digital sales and (from March 2015) audio streaming in the United Kingdom. It was published for the first time on 22 July 1956 and is compiled every week by the Official Charts Company (OCC) on Fridays (previously Sundays). It is broadcast on BBC Radio 1 (top 5) and found on the OCC website as a Top 100 or on UKChartsPlus as a Top 200, with positions continuing until all sales have been tracked in data only available to industry insiders. However, even though number 100 was classed as a hit album (as in the case of The Guinness Book of British Hit Albums) in the 1980s until January 1989, since the compilations were removed this definition was changed to Top 75 with follow-up books such as The Virgin Book of British Hit Albums book only including this data. The Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA) is a non-profit association set up in 1999 to promote certain interests of the music industry in Ireland. The Irish Singles Chart is the Republic of Ireland's music industry standard singles popularity chart issued weekly by the Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA) and compiled on their behalf by the Official Charts Company. Chart rankings are based on sales, which are compiled through over-the-counter retail data captured electronically each day from retailers' EPOS systems. All major record shops, digital retailers and streaming services contribute to the chart, accounting for over 95% of the market. The Official Charts (legal name: The Official UK Charts Company Limited) is a British inter-professional organization that compiles various "official" record charts in the United Kingdom, Ireland and France. In the United Kingdom, its charts include ones for singles, albums and films, with the data compiled from a mixture of downloads, purchases (of physical media) and streaming.
