Hanyang University At Ansan Station
Hanyang University at Ansan station is a station on Seoul Subway Line 4 & the Suin-Bundang Line in Ansan-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. It is named after the city's ERICA campus of Hanyang University. Unlike the name of the station, Hanyang University is not right in front of the station. Hanyang University shuttle buses stop in front of the station. Buses usually take students from the station to the university every 10 minutes on weekdays and every 30 minutes on weekends. It takes about 10 minutes from the station to the ERICA campus. This station was the planned southeastern terminus of the section of the Suin Line; it became a transfer point between Line 4 and the Suin Line when construction on the Suin Line was completed in 2019. Seoul Metropolitan Subway Stations
Although each station of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway differs, most share certain characteristics. Stations range in size, from tiny local stations to large transportation hubs. Subway exit/entrances Outside each station, entrances are marked with a tall obelisk that has the station's name and station number printed on it below a small subway logo. Inside the station exits are marked with the uniquely translated "Way Out" and is assigned a number, depicted on signs in black with a black circle around the number. Station exits can be a significant distance away from each other at ground level, so it's important to know the exit number you want to take. Oido Station
Oido Station is a subway station in Siheung, South Korea. It is the current southwestern terminus of Seoul Subway Line 4 located almost 30 kilometers southwest of Seoul, connecting Oido to other parts of Korea. A commuter rail trip between this station and Seoul Station takes over an hour, and a train servicing depot is located nearby. The name of the station was decided by the surrounding area Oido island. This station, along with Jeongwang Station to the southeast, serves the Sihwa Industrial District of southwestern Siheung. Beginning in June 2012, this station also became the southeastern terminus of the Suin Line, linking the city of Siheung to southern Incheon. Side Platform
A side platform (also known as a marginal platform or a single-face platform) is a platform positioned to the side of one or more railway tracks or guideways at a railway station, tram stop, or transitway. A station having dual side platforms, one for each direction of travel, is the basic design used for double-track railway lines (as opposed to, for instance, the island platform where a single platform lies between the tracks). Suin–Bundang Line
The Suin–Bundang Line (Suwon Incheon Bundang Line) is a commuter rail service of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway system, operating on trackage from the Suin Line (opened on June 30, 2012) and the Bundang Line (opened on September 1, 1994). Operation began on September 12, 2020. Frequent service is provided between Wangsimni and Incheon by 6-car trains, with 9 trains on weekdays and 5 on weekends running one station north of Wangsimni to Cheongnyangni. However, many trains terminate at various locations on the line such as Jukjeon, Gosaek, and Oido. Trains travel along the Suin (Incheon-Suwon), Bundang (Suwon-Wangsimni), and Gyeongwon (Wangsimni-Cheongnyangni) lines. Suin Line
The Suin Line (Suwon-Incheon) was a metro line of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway serving the Seoul Capital Area. The original route, abandoned in 1995, was one of the few narrow-gauge railways in South Korea. Opened by the privately owned Chosen Gyeongdong Railway in 1937, it connected Suwon to Namincheon via Ansan and Siheung; in 1942, it was taken over by another private railway, the Chosen Railway (the largest of colonial Korea's privately owned railway companies). The Chosen Railway owned the line until all railways in Korea were nationalized after 1945. However, since December 28, 2004, the Suin Line is being reconstructed with standard gauge and double tracking as an integral part of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway network and is opening in three phases.
