''Hanussen'' is a 1955 West German drama film directed by O. W. Fischer and Georg Marischka and starring Fischer, Liselotte Pulver and Siegfried Lowitz. Georg Marischka
Georg Marischka (born 29 June 1922 in Vienna; died 9 August 1999 in Munich) was an Austrian actor, screen writer, director and film producer for cinema and television. Life George Marischka was born into the world of film because his father was Hubert Marischka and Ernst Marischka was his uncle. In 1949 he worked for Gustav Ucicky as associate director. One year later he contributed to the screen play of ''Die Sünderin'' (The Sinner). Eventually in 1951 he was credited as director for the first time. Afterwards he directed three films starring the Austrian star O. W. Fischer who at that time was very popular in German-speaking countries. This included 1955's '' Hanussen''. Due to his reputation to be an expert concerning Karl May, he got involved in Karl May movies in the 1960s. Helmut Qualtinger (; 8 October 1928 – 29 September 1986; alt. sp.: ''Helmuth Qualtinger''; birthname: ''Helmut Gustav Friedrich Qualtinger'') was an actor, writer, reciter and cabaret performer. Biography He was born Helmut Gustav Friedrich Qualtinger in Vienna, First Austrian Republic to a secondary education teacher and his wife, stemming from the bourgeoise class of the Bildungsbürgertum, his father being a follower of the German Nazi movement. While at school Qualtinger's interest in literature and acting became obvious and he founded a youth theater as a pupil. Afterwards he initially studied medicine and literature, but quit university to become a newspaper reporter and film critic for local press, while beginning to write his own texts for cabaret performances and theater plays. Erni Mangold (sometimes ''Ernie'' or ''Erna;'' born as Erna Goldmann on 25 January 1927) is an Austrian actress and stage director. Since 1948, she had appeared in more than 75 films and TV productions. Life Goldmann was born into a family of artists. The father was a painter, whilst her mother, who was likely to become a successful concert pianist, resigned to her career in favour of her family. She had piano lessons from age 4 to 14 years. After being trained at ''Helmut Kraus's'' Drama School, Erni Mangold performed from 1946 to 1956 at Vienna's Theater in der Josefstadt.
