Hans Schindler
Hans Schindler (19 March 1901 – Vienna, 12 December 1982), authornames H.S. Bellamy and Hans Schindler Bellamy, was an English professor in Vienna and an author on pseudoarchaeology. His books investigate the work of Austrian engineer Hanns Hörbiger and German selenographer Philipp Fauth and the now-defunct Cosmic Ice (''Glacial Cosmogony'') Theory. Hans Schindler was an English teacher at the Folk High School in the Vienna district of Margareten. Between 1930 and 1938 he published several English textbook as well as two booklet on English folksongs and on the history of the English language. As Jews and social-democrats he and his wife Rosie were fierce opponents of the Nazi-party. After the Anschluss of 1938 both fled to Britain, where he became a BBC-surveillor of German radio broadcasts. In 1946 he returned to Vienna and continued his work for the Folk High Schools. Pseudohistory is a form of pseudoscholarship that attempts to distort or misrepresent the historical record, often by employing methods resembling those used in scholarly historical research. Catastrophism
In geology, catastrophism theorises that the Earth has largely been shaped by sudden, short-lived, violent events, possibly worldwide in scope. Ancient astronauts (or ancient aliens) refers to a pseudoscientific hypothesis which holds that intelligent extraterrestrial beings visited Earth and made contact with humans in antiquity and prehistoric times. Rudolf Elmayer von Vestenbrugg (Pula 1881 - Graz 1970), also known als Elmar Brugg, Rudolf Elmar von Vinibert or Elmar Vinibert von Rudolph, was a technical engineer and a prolific Nazi-writer from Austria, who published several popular surveys on the work of cosmologist Hanns Hörbiger and his now-defunct Cosmic Ice (''Glacial Cosmogony'') Theory, as well as a range of popular antisemitic and National Socialist books, including a biography of the antisemitic politician Georg Ritter von Schönerer. Up to 1938 Elmayer lived in Graz, where he later returned. During the War he was a SA-lieutenant colonel (''Obersturmführer'') and a military trainer, stationed in Slovenia. After 1945 he wrote on several other subjects, but he stayed true to his former political beliefs.
