Hans Mühlenfeld
Hans Mühlenfeld (11 September 1901 – 14 October 1969) was a German politician and diplomat who served as the second Ambassador to Australia and Ambassador to the Netherlands. Early life and education Born in Hanover, Prussia, on 11 September 1901, after school education Mühlenfeld studied law and political science at the University of Göttingen where he was granted his doctor of law. In the summer semester of 1929 he became member of Burschenschaft Hannovera (fraternity). After passing his state examination, he worked as a corporate lawyer. Political and diplomatic career After the war in 1945, Mühlenfeld was a co-founder and from 1950 deputy chairman of the German Party (DP). In 1947 he was elected as a member of the Landtag of Lower Saxony and in 1949 Mühlenfeld was elected on the Lower Saxony List of the German Party in the first Bundestag. Queen Juliana
Juliana (; Juliana Louise Emma Marie Wilhelmina; 30 April 1909 – 20 March 2004) was Queen of the Netherlands from 1948 until her abdication in 1980. Juliana was the only child of Queen Wilhelmina and Prince Henry of Mecklenburg-Schwerin. She received a private education and studied international law at the University of Leiden. In 1937, she married Prince Bernhard of Lippe-Biesterfeld with whom she had four daughters: Beatrix, Irene, Margriet, and Christina. During the German invasion of the Netherlands in the Second World War, the royal family was evacuated to the United Kingdom. Juliana then relocated to Canada with her children, while Wilhelmina and Bernhard remained in Britain. The royal family returned to the Netherlands after its liberation in 1945. Burschenschaft Hannovera
Burschenschaft Hannovera is the oldest Burschenschaft, a traditional liberal German Student fraternity or student corporation (Studentenverbindung), incorporated in Göttingen in the Revolution year 1848 (May) at the Georg August University of Göttingen. The founding group was a circle of graduates of the lyceum in Hanover who were studying at Göttingen. Hannovera was chosen as name because the founders where citizens of the Kingdom of Hanover. Hannovera is a lifelong bond (''Lebensbund''), which brings together students and alumni of Göttingen University. It is the only one of the classic German fraternities ever to include a woman: the ''Swedish Nightingale'' Jenny Lind.
