Hans Meyer (footballer)
Hans Meyer (born 3 November 1942) is a German former professional football player and manager. Managerial career East Germany (1971–1987) Meyer was born in Briesen near Bilin, German Empire, today Bílina, Czech Republic. He was manager of Carl Zeiss Jena from 1 July 1971 to 23 October 1983. His first match was a 1–0 win against Vorwärts Stralsund on 29 August 1971. During the 1971–72 season, Carl Zeiss Jena participated in the UEFA Cup. They were eliminated by the Wolverhampton Wanderers in the round of 16. In the domestic season, Carl Zeiss Jena won the East German Cup, defeating Dynamo Dresden in the final, and finished fourth in the league. During the 1972–73 season, Carl Zeiss Jena participated in the Cup Winners' Cup. They were knocked out in the second round by Leeds United. Bílina
Bílina (; german: Bilin) is a town in Teplice District in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 14,000 inhabitants. FC Dinamo Tbilisi ( ka, დინამო თბილისი, ) is a Georgian professional football club based in Tbilisi, Georgia, that competes in the Erovnuli Liga, the top flight of Georgian football. Dinamo Tbilisi was one of the most prominent clubs in Soviet football and a major contender in the Soviet Top League almost immediately after it was established in 1936. The club was then part of one of the leading sport societies in the Soviet Union, the All-Union Dynamo sports society which had several other divisions besides football and was sponsored by the Soviet Ministry of Internal Affairs. The 1980–81 season of the European Cup Winners' Cup was won by Dinamo Tbilisi in the final against Carl Zeiss Jena. The 1981 European Cup Winners' Cup Final was a football match contested on 13 May 1981 between Dinamo Tbilisi of the Soviet Union and Carl Zeiss Jena of East Germany. It was the final game of the 1980–81 European Cup Winners' Cup, and the 21st European Cup Winners' Cup final, held at Rheinstadion in Düsseldorf, West Germany. Only 4,750 people attended the match, though some sources claim there were 9,000 people. Dinamo Tbilisi won the match 2–1 thanks to goals by Vladimir Gutsaev and Vitaly Daraselia. The 1979–80 UEFA Cup was the ninth season of the UEFA Cup, a football competition organised by UEFA for clubs representing its member associations. The competitions was won by Eintracht Frankfurt, who beat Borussia Mönchengladbach on the away goals rule after a 3–3 aggregate draw in the final.
