Hans Frauenlob
Hans Frauenlob (born November 22, 1960) is a retired New Zealand curler originally from Barrie, Ontario. Career Frauenlob moved to New Zealand in around 1995, settling in Auckland. Before moving to New Zealand, he worked as a computer expert for the Toronto Blue Jays for six years, and was awarded with the team's World Series winning rings when the team won in 1992 and 1993. He was able to acquire New Zealand citizenship because his mother was born there. After moving to New Zealand, he worked for New Zealand Trade and Enterprise. In 1997 Frauenlob was selected to represent New Zealand in their Men's curling team. Frauenlob played most of his career as third for skip Sean Becker. With Becker, Frauenlob won three Pacific Curling Championships in , , and . He also won the Pacific Curling Championships in as second under skip Dan Mustapic. Barrie
Barrie is a city in Southern Ontario, Canada, about north of Toronto. The city is within Simcoe County and located along the shores of Kempenfelt Bay, the western arm of Lake Simcoe. Although physically in Simcoe County, Barrie is politically independent. The city is part of the extended urban area in southern Ontario known as the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Rob Armitage
Robert Benjamin Armitage ( Herlein; September 27, 1957 – November 28, 2022) was a Canadian curler. Early life Armitage was born in 1957, the son of Magdalena (Maggie) and Aloysius (Lloyd) Herlein. The family lived in Red Deer, Alberta when his father was killed in a car accident in 1961, and the family temporarily moved to Fusilier, Saskatchewan before moving back to Red Deer a few months later. His mother re-married in 1965 to her new husband Glen Armitage. His mother was killed at a train crossing in 1969, and Glen adopted Rob and his siblings in 1970, which resulted in Rob's surname changing to Armitage. Glen remarried later that year. Armitage played many sports in his youth, including badminton, Canadian football, rugby, broomball, slow pitch baseball, and fastball in addition to curling. Australian Baseball League
The Australian Baseball League (ABL) is a professional baseball league in Australia. The league is governed by the Australian Baseball Federation (ABF). It uses the same name as a now-defunct competition held during the 1990s, and though it shares some history of the original league with the Claxton Shield awarded to winners of both competitions, it is considered to be a separate competition. The Auckland Tuatara is a professional baseball team in the Australian Baseball League based in Auckland, New Zealand. They are the only team from New Zealand to compete in the ABL, and one of two expansion teams that entered the league in the 2018/19 season.
