Hans Egede Budtz
Hans Egede Budtz (8 August 1889 – 29 June 1968) was a Danish stage and film actor. Early life and education Born in Slagelse, Zealand, he was the son of Carl Budtz and Alvida Marie Budtz (''née'' Svendsen). He studied at the Sorø Academy and then at the Royal Danish Theatre from 1913 to 1915 under Thorkild Roose. He made his debut at the Royal Theatre on 15 May 1915 as Klint in a production of Christian Hostrup's comedy ''Genboerne''. Career Budtz was an actor in residence at the Royal Theatre from 1913 to 1918, then from 1919 to 1927 at the Det Ny Teater in Copenhagen. From 1927 to 1929, he was an actor as well as stage director at the Odense Theatre before moving on to the Folketeatret from 1929 to 1933, the Casino Theatre from 1936 to 1937, the Folketeatret once again, the Nørrebro Theatre and the National Scala. Slagelse
Slagelse () is a town on Zealand, Denmark. The town is the seat of Slagelse Municipality, and is the biggest town of the municipality. It is located 15 km east of Korsør, 16 km north-east of Skælskør, 33 km south-east of Kalundborg and 14 km west of Sorø. History Slagelse has been inhabited since at least the Viking Age, where it was a Pagan site. Trelleborg, a ring castle, was built near the current location of Slagelse in 980, which made the location strategically important. A church was built at Slagelse's current location in the 1000s. Around this time, coins were minted in Slagelse. Antvorskov was built in the 1100s by Valdemar I, who had recently acquired Zealand. Frederiksberg Church ( Danish: Frederiksberg Kirke) is the oldest church building in the Frederiksberg district of Copenhagen, Denmark.
