Sir Robert William Robson (18 February 1933 – 31 July 2009) was an English footballer and football manager. His career included periods playing for and later managing the England national team and being a UEFA Cup-winning manager at Ipswich Town. Robson's professional playing career as an inside forward spanned nearly 20 years, during which he played for three clubs: Fulham, West Bromwich Albion, and, briefly, Vancouver Royals. The 1987–88 European Cup was the 33rd season of the European Cup club football tournament. The competition was won for the first time by PSV Eindhoven, who defeated two-time winners Benfica in the final at Neckarstadion in Stuttgart. Guus Hiddink
Guus Hiddink (; born 8 November 1946) is a Dutch former football manager and professional player. He enjoyed a long career playing as a midfielder in his native Netherlands. Retired as player in 1982, Hiddink went into management, leading both clubs and countries from across the globe to achieve various titles and feats. With PSV Eindhoven he won the European Champions Cup, the predecessor of the UEFA Champions League. The Eredivisie (; ''"Honour Division"'' or ''"Premier Division"'') is the highest level of professional football in the Netherlands. The Eerste Divisie (, en, First Division) is the second-highest tier of football in the Netherlands. It is linked with the top-level Eredivisie and with the third-level Tweede Divisie via promotion/relegation systems. It is also known as the Keuken Kampioen Divisie due to sponsorship, while previously it was known as Jupiler League for the same reason. Willem "Wim" van Hanegem (; born 20 February 1944) is a Dutch former football player and coach who played as a midfielder. In a playing career spanning over 20 years, he won several domestic honours in the Netherlands, as well as a European Cup and a UEFA trophy, all with Feyenoord. Eduard Willem Treijtel (born 28 May 1946) is a Dutch former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He won the Intercontinental Cup in 1970 and the UEFA Cup in the 1973–74 season with Feyenoord. Club career Treijtel was born in Rotterdam. He joined Feyenoord from Xerxes/DHC in 1968 along with Willem van Hanegem. On 15 November 1970, Treijtel took down a gull with the ball from a goal-kick during the derby between Sparta Rotterdam and Feyenoord Rotterdam. Ab Fafié (4 March 1941 – 27 November 2012) was a Dutch professional football player and manager. Playing career Club Fafié made his debut for hometown club Feijenoord against Fortuna '54 in 1959 and also played for Rotterdam club Xerxes as well as for PSV. During an injury-hit spell he only played 13 games for the ''Eindhovenaren''. Managerial career Fafié became assistant to Feyenoord manager Hans Kraay in 1981 and was named caretaker after Kraay's dismissal in 1983. He took charge in 1984 after Thijs Libregts was sacked and ended up third in the Eredivisie in both his seasons at the helm.
