The Icelandic Basketball Association (''Icelandic:Körfuknattleikssamband Íslands - KKÍ'') is the national governing body of basketball in Iceland and is a member of the continental association FIBA Europe and the global International Basketball Federation (FIBA). Guðbjörg Norðfjörð
Guðbjörg Norðfjörð Elíasdóttir (born 8 April 1972) is an Icelandic former basketball player and the current chairman of the Icelandic Basketball Federation. As a player, she was named the Icelandic Women's Basketball Player of the Year in 1999 and was a seven-time selection to the Úrvalsdeild kvenna Domestic All-First Team. Guðbjörg won the Icelandic championship three times and the Icelandic Cup four times. She was a member of the Icelandic national basketball team from 1990 to 2002. In 2001, Guðbjörg was voted as one of the twelve players on the Icelandic team of the 20th century. Playing career Club career Guðbjörg started her career with Haukar where she won the Icelandic Cup in 1992. Ólafur Rafnsson
Ólafur Eðvarð Rafnsson (7 April 1963 - 19 June 2013) was the president of FIBA Europe from 2010 until 2013. He also served president of the Icelandic Basketball Association from 1996 until 2006 when he was voted as the president of the National Olympic and Sports Association of Iceland where he served until 2013. Basketball career Club Ólafur played 109 games in the Icelandic Úrvalsdeild karla from 1983 until 1989, averaging 9.7 points per game. He won the Icelandic championship with Haukar in 1988 and the Icelandic cup in 1985 and 1986. National team Ólafur played 7 games for the Icelandic national team between 1985 and 1986. Personal life Ólafur is the father of Icelandic women's national basketball team players Auður Íris Ólafsdóttir and Sigrún Björg Ólafsdóttir.
