Hannes Råstam
Hannes Råstam (1955 – 12 January 2012) was a Swedish journalist. He was the host of SVT's Uppdrag granskning a program featuring investigative journalism. He was awarded the Prix Italia in 2001, the Golden Nymph in 2006, and the FIPA d'Or The ''International Festival of Audiovisual Programmes'' or ''International Documentary Festival FIPADOC'' ( (FIPA)), founded in 1987 by Michel Mitrani (1930-1996), was first held in Cannes in October 1987., In 2019, the FIPA became FIPADOC,,, an ... also in 2006. ''Uppdrag granskning'' (English name: ''Mission: Investigate'') is a Swedish television program focusing on investigative journalism. The program is produced by and aired on SVT and has become known for the use of concealed cameras and microphones. In April 2016, after an interview with ''Uppdrag granskning'', the Icelandic prime minister Sigmundur Davíð Gunnlaugsson resigned, after a controversy concerning the Panama Papers. In 2017, as part of the programs reporting on the Paradise Papers they uncovered that the plane used to fly the crown princess and her newly wed husband from their marriage ceremony was registered in a tax haven. According to the program, the pilots who flew the couple have also been charged by Swedish court for tax avoidance. The Swedish royal family response was that the trip was not paid for by the royal house, but was a gift and therefore not their responsibility. Sture Bergwall
Sture Ragnar Bergwall (born 26 April 1950), also known as Thomas Quick from 1993–2002, is a Swedish man previously believed to have been a serial killer, having confessed to more than 30 murders while detained in a mental institution for personality disorders. Between 1994 and 2001, Quick was convicted of eight of these murders. However, he withdrew all of his confessions in 2008. As a result, his murder convictions were quashed, the final one in July 2013, and he was released from hospital. The episode raised issues about how murder convictions could have been obtained on such weak evidence, and has been called the largest miscarriage of justice in Swedish history.
