Hannakaisa Heikkinen
Hannakaisa Heikkinen (born 7 April 1974) is a Finnish politician. She has been a Member of the Parliament for the Centre Party from 2007 to 2011 and since 2015. Career Born in Juankoski, Heikkinen now lives in Kiuruvesi. She graduated as Bachelor of Nursing from the JAMK University of Applied Sciences in 1999 and as Master of Health Sciences from the University of Jyväskylä in 2006. In addition to nursing, she has worked as a farmer. Heikkinen was elected to the Parliament of Finland with 7,083 votes from Northern Savonia in 2007. Centre Party (Finland)
The Centre Party ( fi, Suomen Keskusta , ''Kesk''; sv, Centern i Finland), officially the Centre Party of Finland, is an agrarian political party in Finland. Ideologically, the Centre Party is positioned in the centre on the political spectrum. It has been described as liberal, social liberal, liberal-conservative, and conservative-liberal. Its leader is Annika Saarikko, who was elected in September 2020 to follow Katri Kulmuni, the former finance minister of Finland. The Savo-Karelia constituency (Finnish: ''Savo-Karjalan vaalipiiri'', Swedish: ''Savolax-Karelens valkrets'') is a Finnish constituency represented in eduskunta. Juankoski
Juankoski is a former town and municipality of Finland. In March 2014, the Juankoski city council decided that the town would merge with Kuopio in the beginning of 2017. Juankoski is located in the province of Eastern Finland, part of the Northern Savonia region. It covers an area of of which is water. Juankoski formally became a town in 1998. Neighbouring municipalities of Juankoski include Juuka, Kaavi, Tuusniemi, Kuopio, Nilsiä and Rautavaara. The former municipality is unilingually Finnish. History In 1746, Brynolf Brunou established an ironworks near the rapids between Vuotjärvi and Akonvesi. The area was a part of the Nilsiä chapel community of the Kuopio parish. 2015 Finnish Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Finland on 19 April 2015, with advance voting taking place from 8 to 14 April. The 200 members of the Parliament of Finland were elected with the proportional D'Hondt method. There were 4,463,333 people entitled to vote in Finland and abroad. 2007 Finnish Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Finland on 18 March 2007. Early voting was possible from the 7–13 March. The 200 members of the Eduskunta were elected from 15 constituencies. Election themes included a reduction of income tax and VAT on food. A proposal for a guaranteed minimum income was introduced by some parties. The election debates were characterised by the high economic growth in Finland in recent years, which was thought to mean the government would have extra money to use on welfare services and transfer payments. Largest advertising budgets were spent by the Coalition Party (€2.46M) and the Center Party (€2.48M) with SDP far behind (€1.37M). Altogether, 2,004 candidates were nominated, 799 of whom were women.
