Einar Axelsson
Einar Axelsson (February 25, 1895–October 30, 1971) was a Swedish stage and film actor. Biography Einar Rickard Axelsson was born at Lund in Skåne, Sweden. He was the son of actors Konstantin and Amelie Axelsson. He was the brother of journalist George Axelsson (1898–1966). After playing at the Folkteatern in Gothenburg (1913–1914), he joined the theater company of Karin Swanström which was active until the early 1920s. From 1925 to 1941, Axelsson was one of the leading names in various theater companies associated with Ernst Eklund. He died at Stocksund in Stockholm and was buried at Danderyds kyrkogård in Stockholm. Nils Bengt Folke Ekerot (8 February 1920 – 26 November 1971) was a Swedish actor best known for portraying Death in ''The Seventh Seal'' (1957) directed by Ingmar Bergman. In 1956, he directed the world premiere of '' Long Day's Journey into Night'', the masterpiece of US playwright Eugene O'Neill. Early life Ekerot was born in Stockholm. Career He had several roles in Swedish films, but in Ingmar Bergman's ''The Seventh Seal'' (1957) he portrayed Death as a white-faced man in a black cloak. The decision to perform the role in this way was a joint decision between the actor and director. Hugo Björne (4 February 1886 – 14 February 1966) was a Swedish film and theater actor. Biography Ernst Hugo Alexis Björne was born in Varberg in Halland, Sweden. He made his stage debut in 1907 and belonged to the acting company of Hjalmar Selander until 1911 when he moved to the theater company of Einar Fröberg where he worked until 1914. Björne was involved at Svenska Teatern in Stockholm (1914–1925), at Vasateatern (1925–1926), at Oscarsteatern (1926–1932) and later at Vasateatern under the direction of Gösta Ekman (1932–1936).  After 1946, he became committed to the Dramaten. Järrel was one of the most popular actors in Sweden during his career, and also one of the most productive, participating in a total of 131 films.
