Hanna Orthmann
Hanna Orthmann (born 3 October 1998) is a German volleyball player who plays for Türk Hava Yolları SK in the Turkish Women's Volleyball League (Turkish: Sultanlar Ligi). She participated in the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League. Career Hanna Orthmann played youth volleyball at SC Union 08 Lüdinghausen. In 2014 she came to the Volleyball training camp at USC Münster, where she first played in the youth team in the second Bundesliga Nord. At the end of 2015, she had their first Bundesliga appearance on 17 January 2016 in the 0-3 defeat against NawaRo Straubing. In 2017 she moved to the Italian Serie A to ProVictoria Pallavolo Monza. From 2012 to 2016, Hanna Orthmann also played in the German youth and junior national team. She played at the 2015 FIVB Volleyball Girls' U18 World Championship in Peru. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. The complete set of rules is extensive, but play essentially proceeds as follows: a player on one of the teams begins a 'rally' by serving the ball (tossing or releasing it and then hitting it with a hand or arm), from behind the back boundary line of the court, over the net, and into the receiving team's court. Turkish Women's Volleyball League
The Turkish Women's Volleyball League ( tr, Türkiye Kadınlar Voleybol 1. Ligi) officially called the Sultans League (Turkish: Sultanlar Ligi), is the highest professional women's volleyball league in Turkey. It is run by the Turkish Volleyball Federation and began with the 1984–85 season. 14 clubs are currently participating in the league. 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League
The 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League was the inaugural edition of the FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League, a new annual international women's volleyball tournament contested by 16 national teams that replaced the former World Grand Prix in the international calendar. The competition was held between May and July 2018, and the final round took place in the Nanjing Olympic Sports Centre, Nanjing, China. Six-time World Grand Prix winners, United States won the inaugural edition, defeating Turkey in five sets on the final. This was Turkey's first ever final on a senior world-level premier competition (World Championship, World Cup, Summer Olympic Games and the aforementioned Grand Prix).
