Hanin Tamim
Hanin Maher Tamim ( ar, حنين ماهر تميم; born 5 April 2000) is a Lebanese footballer who plays as a forward for Lebanese club SAS and the Lebanon national team. Club career Tamim began playing football at an early age at FC Beirut's boys academy. After playing football in her school team, she joined Beirut Football Academy (BFA), making her debut in the Lebanese Women's Football League. Following three seasons at BFA, she moved to Stars Association for Sports (SAS) – the league reigning champions – in 2018. Tamim helped SAS to a second-place finish at the inaugural 2019 WAFF Women's Clubs Championship; she described it as her favourite international experience. On 27 May 2022, Tamim signed for the Lander Bearcats, the football team of Lander University in the United States. Stars Association For Sports
Stars Association for Sports ( ar, جمعية نجوم الرياضة), or simply SAS, is a women's football club section of the similarly-named sports academy, based in Aley, Lebanon. Founded in 2011 as Stars Academy for Sports, they have competed in the Lebanese Women's Football League since 2014. SAS have won six league titles, three FA Cup titles, and one Super Cup title, and were runners-up in the inaugural edition of the WAFF Women's Clubs Championship in 2019. 2024 WAFF Women's Championship
The 2024 WAFF Women's Championship was the 8th edition of the WAFF Women's Championship, the biennial international women's football tournament in West Asia competed by the national teams in the West Asian Football Federation (WAFF). The tournament was hosted by the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, it was the first major women's football tournament to be hosted in the kingdom. Jordan were three-time defending champions having won the last three editions (Jordan 2014, Bahrain 2019 and Jordan 2022). and they successfully retained the title for the sixth time, after beating Nepal on penalties in the final. Guam Women's National Football Team
The Guam women's national football team is the female representative football team for Guam. History Guam took part in the 2003 South Pacific Games in Suva, Fiji, finishing second. The team competes regularly in the EAFF E-1 Football Championship. The team first played in the tournament's preliminary competition in 2007 against round winners South Korea, Chinese Taipei, and Hong Kong. The 2022 AFC Women's Asian Cup qualification was the qualification tournament for the 2022 AFC Women's Asian Cup. A total of twelve teams qualified to play in the final tournament in India. The host country India and the top three teams of the previous tournament in 2018 qualified automatically, while the other eight teams were decided by qualification, with the matches played between 17 and 29 September and 18–24 October 2021 in centralised venues.
