Umuarama is a municipality in the state of Paraná in Brazil. Its population was 112,500 inhabitants in 2020. Umuarama is one of the most important cities in Paraná, one of the three states of southern Brazil. The men's tournament of Handball at the 2016 Summer Olympics at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, began on 7 August and ended on 21 August 2016. Games were held at the Future Arena.
