John Gombojab Hangin
John Gombojab Hangin (1921–October 9, 1989) was a scholar of Mongolian studies. He authored several Mongolian dictionaries and textbooks and is credited by ''The New York Times'' with helping to establish recognition for the Mongolian People's Republic from the United Nations and the United States. In Japan Hangin was born in Taibus Banner, Chahar, Inner Mongolia to a prominent family who had long been active in the Qing Dynasty court. He was sent to Hokkaido Imperial University in Japan to study during World War II, afterward taking a position as a secretary in the Mengjiang government of Prince Demchugdongrub. He was elected to the National Assembly of the Republic of China in 1947; however, after the Chinese Civil War ended with a communist victory, he emigrated to the United States in 1949. The Hanjin Group () is a South Korean chaebol. The group has various industries covered from transportation and airlines to hotels, tourism, and airport businesses, and one of the largest chaebols in Korea. The group includes Korean Air (KAL), which was acquired by the founder Cho Choong-hoon in 1969, and was the owner of Hanjin Shipping (once the largest shipping company in Korea) before its bankruptcy. In 2013, Hanjin Group officially switched from cross ownership to a holding company structure with the establishment of Hanjin KAL Corporation. The group is controlled by descendants of Cho Choong-hoon, and many construction chaebols are the major shareholders of Hanjin KAL. "Hangin'" is a single from the sixth studio album by the Chic, ''Tongue in Chic ''Tongue in Chic'' is the sixth studio album by American R&B band Chic, released on Atlantic Records in 1982. The album includes the singles " Hangin'" (R&B #48) and "I Feel Your Love Comin' On" (issued only in the Netherlands). ''Tongue in Chi ...''. It was the first single from this album and it reached #64 on the UK singles chart in March 1983, spending 1 week on the chart. ''Doom Days'' (stylised as "DOOM D∆YS") is the third studio album by British indie pop band Bastille, released on 14 June 2019 by Virgin EMI Records. It was preceded by the release of the four singles "Quarter Past Midnight", "Doom Days", " Joy" and "Those Nights", and followed by "Another Place". "Those Nights" was premiered on Beats 1 with Zane Lowe on 4 June 2019. The band played music festivals in the UK and across Europe from May to August 2019 in support of the album.
