Handle With Care (1958 Film)
''Handle with Care'' is a 1958 American drama film directed by David Friedkin and starring Dean Jones, Joan O'Brien and Thomas Mitchell. David Friedkin
David Friedkin (March 8, 1912 – October 15, 1976) was an American writer and director of radio shows, film, and television shows. Early life and education Friedkin was born on March 8, 1912 in Kansas City, Missouri to Russian Jewish immigrants. His father wanted him to become a doctor. When Friedkin graduated from high school at 15, he attended the Juilliard School on a violin scholarship. At 17, Friedkin decided to become a stage actor. According to his son Anthony Friedkin, he was in the running for the lead role in the film adaptation of ''Golden Boy''. He then focused on writing and directing. He served in the Signal Corps during World War II. Career Early in his writing career, Friedkin teamed with Morton Fine; the two would frequently collaborate for radio, television, and film for the rest of Friedkin's working life. Burton Douglas (November 21, 1930 – July 1, 2000) was an American film, stage and television actor. Douglas was born in Denver, Colorado, and graduated from the University of Colorado. When he saw the play ''The Heiress'', which starred Ruth Gordon and Whitfield Connor, he decided to take the summer stock theater program. Nicholas Joseph Clooney (born January 13, 1934) is an American journalist, anchorman, and television host. He is the brother of singer Rosemary Clooney and the father of actor George Clooney. Early life Clooney was born in Maysville, Kentucky, the son of Marie Frances (née Guilfoyle; 1904–1972) and Andrew Joseph Clooney (1902–1974). He was one of five children. His father was of Irish and German descent and his mother was of Irish ancestry. While serving as a Corporal in the United States Army, U.S. Army, he was a disc jockey in the American Forces Network in Germany, hosting the shows ''Music in the Air'' and ''Melody-Go-Round''. Emerson Treacy (September 17, 1900 – January 10, 1967) was a film, Broadway, and radio actor. Career Treacy was teamed with comedienne Gay Seabrook to form the double-act Treacy and Seabrook. The team was very successful on radio and in theater during the early 1930s, with routines similar to those of real husband-and-wife team Burns and Allen. Modern audiences will remember Treacy as the flustered father of Spanky McFarland in the ''Our Gang'' short films '' Bedtime Worries'' and ''Wild Poses''. Carol Brewster
Carol Brewster (born Miriam Elizabeth Hechler; February 25, 1927 – February 1, 2013) was an American actress and model. After she had a role as a model in a ''Ziegfeld Follies'' film, Brewster's first acting role came in ''The Barkleys of Broadway'' (1949). In 1955, Brewster came down with polio, causing her to spend 29 days in an iron lung and nine months in a wheel chair. In 1957, she acted on stage in Los Angeles, with a starring role in ''The Darling Darlinis'' at the Ivar Theater. During a hiatus in her acting career, Brewster began designing purses, an endeavor that grew into a business that had 10 employees. Death Brewster died at 85 in Big Bear Lake, California on February 1, 2013.
