Hammarby Sjöstad
Hammarby Sjöstad is a part of the inner city of Stockholm, currently undergoing major urban redevelopment. It is located on both sides of lake Hammarby Sjö, bordering Nacka Municipality to the east. The area is part of the districts Södermalm and Södra Hammarbyhamnen. Before the current redevelopment began, the area was known as Norra Hammarbyhamnen and Södra Hammarbyhamnen, a mainly industrial zone centered on the Lumafabriken works, a piece of functionalist architecture designed by Eskil Sundahl and Arthur von Schmalensee, which now houses a library and offices. The neighbouring Lugnet was a run-down light industrial area, not intended to be permanent, housing an impromptu trailer park. Tvärbanan
Tvärbanan is a light-rail line in Stockholm, Sweden. Its name literally translates to ''The transverse line'', as it operates crosswise to the otherwise radial metro and commuter rail lines of Stockholm. It links together several transit lines through its connections with the southern, western and northern subway branches of the Stockholm Metro (''Tunnelbana'') as well as three branches of the Stockholm commuter rail (''Pendeltåg''). The possibility to travel between southern, western and northern greater Stockholm without having to enter the city centre significantly reduces the number of transit passengers, also reducing the number of trains having to pass through the Old Town bottleneck during peak hours. Maria-Gamla Stan Borough
Maria-Gamla Stan was a borough (''stadsdelsområde'') in central Stockholm, Sweden until January 1, 2007, named after the Maria (actually Maria Magdalena) parish and the Stockholm Old Town in the borough. After were introduced as an administrative division in Stockholm in 1996, Maria-Gamla Stan grew when it merged with the former borough of Hornstull in 1999, so that it comprised the whole western half of Södermalm and the island districts of Gamla Stan, Långholmen, Reimersholme and Riddarholmen. The islands of Årsta holmar in Årsta were also organized in Maria-Gamla stan. The population as of 2004 was 64,150 on an area of 4.62 km2, giving it a density of 13,885/km2. Katarina-Sofia was a borough (''stadsdelsområde'') in central Stockholm, named after the two parishes of Katarina and Sofia. Effective January 1, 2007, the borough merged with the borough of Maria-Gamla Stan to form the Södermalm borough. Södermalm, often shortened to just Söder, is a district and island in central Stockholm. Overview The district covers the large island of the same name (formerly called ''Åsön''). Although Södermalm usually is considered an island, water to both its north and south does not flow freely but passes through locks. Stockholm Municipality or the City of Stockholm ( sv, Stockholms kommun or ) is a municipality in Stockholm County in east central Sweden. Gullmarsplan
Gullmarsplan () is a place in Johanneshov, Stockholm. The square there was built at the same time the new city area was developed in the 1940s. The business area around the square was inaugurated in 1946. It was named after Gullmarn, a fjord in the province of Bohuslän, at Lysekil. The Skanstullsbron (Skanstull bridge) and Johanneshovsbron (Johanneshov bridge) connect Gullmarsplan by road with Södermalm, a part of the city center. Beneath Gullmarsplan, the road tunnel Södra länken runs in an east-west direction. Just south of Gullmarsplan is the Söderstadion football stadium as well as the Avicii Arena (Globen). A trailer park,caravan park, mobile home park, mobile home community or manufactured home community is a temporary or permanent area for mobile homes and travel trailers.
