Hamish Rosser
Hamish Rosser (born 16 May 1974) is an Australian rock musician. He is best known for his time in The Vines and his current position in Wolfmother. Early life Hamish’s musical journey began when he took up the guitar at the age of eight. By the time he turned eleven he had switched to drums and bought his first set of drums with money saved up from a paper round in his Sydney neighbourhood. Rosser's first gig was with high school punk band called "The Warthogs" who covered The Clash, The Ramones and the Sex Pistols. Rosser studied chemical engineering at Sydney University and stayed there for four years until he left to pursue a career as a musician. Career Rosser was asked to join The Vines to replace the band's previous drummer, David Oliffe. He left the Vines, along with guitarist Ryan Griffiths, in December 2011. ''Rock Out'' is the sixth studio album by Australian hard rock band Wolfmother. Recorded at frontman Andrew Stockdale's home studio and Bangalow Plaza Studios with engineer Cameron Lockwood, it was independently released on 12 November 2021. The album features a lineup of Stockdale on vocals, guitar and bass, Hamish Rosser on drums, and Alexx McConnell on bass for "Humble" and "Only Way". ''Future Primitive'' is the fifth studio album by Australian alternative rock band The Vines. It was released on 3 June 2011. Background The majority of the album was recorded at Studios 301 in Sydney, Australia during February and March 2010 with producer Christopher Colonna of The Bumblebeez. Additional recording and production touch-ups occurred throughout the following year (2010 – early 2011) whilst the band shopped the album to potential record labels, as they were without a label at the time having financed the recording sessions themselves. ''Melodia'' is the fourth studio album by Australian alternative rock band The Vines. The album was produced by Rob Schnapf, and subsequently released by Ivy League Records in Australia on 12 July 2008, and through retailer Insound, in the United States on 22 July 2008. The album peaked at number 12 on the Australian ARIA Charts. Background Recording of the album was completed during the week of 3–10 March 2008, with a release occurring in July 2008. Originally thought to be called ''Braindead'', the title of the album was confirmed via their MySpace website on 22 May 2008 to be ''Melodia'' and an official track listing was also announced. The band demoed 25 songs, only 14 of which made the final cut. This is The Vines' first album for record label Ivy League Records, after parting ways with EMI and Capitol Records in 2007. It is the band's first album without bass guitarist Patrick Matthews who left the band in 2004. Redfern is an inner-city suburb of Sydney located 3 kilometres south of the Sydney central business district and is part of the local government area of the City of Sydney. Splendour In The Grass
Splendour in the Grass (commonly referred to as Splendour) is an annual Australian music festival held at the North Byron Parklands in Yelgun, New South Wales. Since its inauguration, the festival has also been held in various locations near Byron Bay, New South Wales, and Woodford, Queensland.
