Hamid Farokhnezhad
Hamid Farrokhnezhad ( fa, حمید فرخنژاد ; born April 17, 1969) is an Iranian actor, writer and director. He has received various accolades, including four Crystal Simorgh (two for acting), two Hafez Awards, three Iran Cinema Celebration Awards and an Iran's Film Critics and Writers Association Award. Career He started his career in student theatre and making some short films. After acting in Khosrow Sinai's ''Dar Kooche-haye Eshgh'' he had the chance to play a role in another movie by Sinai, Aroos-e Atash aka ''Bride of fire'' which brought him many awards in Fajr Film Festival, Karlovy Vary International Film Festival and Khane-ye Cinema award. He had roles in three films by Sinai and had worked with notable Iranian directors such as Ebrahim Hatamikia, Asghar Farhadi and Bahram Beyzayi. ''Big Drum Under Left Foot'' ( fa, طبل بزرگ زیر پای چپ; also known as ''Left Foot Forward on the Beat'') is a 2004 Iranian war drama directed by Kazem Masoumi. The story of movie is about the Iran Iraq war. It was entered into the 27th Moscow International Film Festival. Plot A group of Iranian troops are trapped in a trench on the front-lines. They are suffering from lack of water. Raising a white flag, one of the Iranian soldiers goes to the only spring in the region which is located between the two front lines. At that moment it is revealed that the Iraqi side has the same problem, and has also sent a man to fetch water from the spring. The Guidance Patrol ( fa, گشت ارشاد, translit=gašt-e eršād) or morality police is a vice squad / Islamic religious police in the Law Enforcement Command of the Islamic Republic of Iran, established in 2005 with the task of arresting people who violate the Islamic dress code, usually concerning the wearing by women of hijabs covering their hair. It was rumored to be dissolved in December 2022 after three months of continuous protest over women's rights in Iran, although this false information was spread by the Islamic Regime of Iran as a tactic to stop the uprising. It is a successor organisation to the older Committees. The movie depicts three urban working poor young men who impersonate crew of a Guidance Patrol to earn money. Dealing with a national issue, the movie soon sparked controversy in Iran and eventually was pulled from screens. Ahmad Khatami called it "obscene" and "immoral" in Tehran's friday prayer speech. Majid Majidi ( fa, مجید مجیدی, ; born 17 April 1959) is an Iranian film director, producer, and screenwriter, who started his film career as an actor. In his films, Majidi has touched on many themes and genres and has won numerous international awards. Biography Born in an Iranian middle-class family, he grew up in Tehran and at the age of 14 he started acting in amateur theater groups. He then studied at the Institute of Dramatic Arts in Tehran. After the Iranian Revolution in 1979, his interest in cinema brought him to act in various films, most notably Mohsen Makhmalbaf's ''Boycott'' in 1985. Ali Atshani ( fa, علی عطشانی; born May 16, 1978) is an Iranian film director, film producer and screenwriter. Atshani started his career in 1994 and made his film debut in the drama film ''Habib''.
