Stansted Mountfitchet
Stansted Mountfitchet is an English village and civil parish in Uttlesford district, Essex, near the Hertfordshire border, north of London. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 5,533, increasing to 6,011 at the 2011 census. The village is served by Stansted Mountfitchet railway station. Stansted Mountfitchet is situated in north-west Essex near the Hertfordshire border and 3 miles (5 km) north of Bishop's Stortford. Stansted Airport is from the village. The village has three primary schools (Bentfield Primary School, St Mary's (C of E) Primary School and Magna Carta Primary Academy) and one high school which was renamed the Forest Hall School in September, 2013. Silas Halsey
Silas Halsey (October 17, 1743 N.S. – November 19, 1832) was a United States representative from New York. Born October 6, 1743 (Old Style) / October 17, 1743 (New Style) in Southampton, he attended the public schools and studied medicine at Elizabethtown, New Jersey (later Elizabeth.) He returned to Southampton and practiced medicine from 1764 to 1776; he then resided three years in Killingworth, Connecticut during the American Revolutionary War, when he again returned to Southampton. He was undersheriff of Suffolk County from 1784 to 1787, and was sheriff from 1787 to 1792. He moved to Herkimer County in 1793 and settled in what is now the town of Lodi and continued the practice of medicine. He also erected and operated a grist mill. Nicholas Halsey
Nicholas Guy Halsey TD, DL, FRICS (born 14 June 1948) is the heir to the Halsey Baronetcy. Halsey is the son of Lieutenant Colonel Guy Marsden Halsey, TD (1908–1990), the second son of the Reverend Frederick Halsey and Audrey Katherine, née Marsden. A member of the prominent Halsey family of Hertfordshire, Halsey was educated at Eton and the Royal Agricultural College at Cirencester. He served as a Major in the Royal Green Jackets, and is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He was High Sheriff of Hertfordshire in 1995. He married Viola Georgina Juliet Thorne on 7 August 1976. Their son is Guy Francis Johnston Halsey, born in 1981. Neal A. Halsey (born 1945) is an American pediatrician, with sub-specialty training in infectious diseases, international health and epidemiology. Halsey is a professor emeritus of international health and director emeritus of the Institute for Vaccine Safety at the Johns Hopkins University, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, in Baltimore, Maryland. He had a joint appointment in the Department of Pediatrics at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and serves as co-director of the Center for Disease Studies and Control in Guatemala. Admiral Sir Lionel Halsey, (26 February 1872 – 26 October 1949) was a Royal Navy officer and courtier. Early life and career Halsey was born in London, the fourth son of Sir Thomas Frederick Halsey, 1st Baronet. John Halsey (born 23 February 1945) is a rock drummer, best known for his appearance in the television film ''All You Need is Cash'' (1978) as Barrington Womble ("Barry Wom") of The Rutles. Previous to this he had played with fellow future Rutle Neil Innes's band Fatso and appeared with them in the BBC Television comedy series, ''Rutland Weekend Television'', fronted by a third Rutle, Eric Idle. Halsey was born in Highgate, North London and grew up in North Finchley. He joined the London rhythm and blues band Felder's Orioles in 1965, who released four singles on the Piccadilly Records label. In 1967 he joined Timebox (band), Timebox, a band from Southport, who later became Patto. With record producer Muff Winwood they released three albums. The band disbanded in 1973.
