Halifax Thunderbirds
The Halifax Thunderbirds are a professional box lacrosse team in the North Division of the National Lacrosse League (NLL). They play at Scotiabank Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia. History On September 13, 2018, the NLL approved a franchise relocation to the city of Halifax. Curt Styres, the previous owner of the NLL's Rochester Knighthawks, moved the Knighthawks' franchise to Halifax, Nova Scotia. The Knighthawks intellectual property (name and logo) was sold to Pegula Sports and Entertainment, owners of the Buffalo Bandits, who will operate a new expansion franchise from the 2019–2020 season under the Knighthawks moniker. While located in Rochester the franchise won 5 championships. The Halifax Thunderbirds made their league debut on December 7, 2019, defeating the New York Riptide 12–4 in front of a crowd of 6,847 at the Scotiabank Centre. National Lacrosse League
The National Lacrosse League (NLL) is a men's professional box lacrosse league in North America. The league is headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The NLL currently has fifteen teams: ten in the United States and five in Canada. The NLL ranks third in average attendance for pro indoor sports worldwide, behind only the National Hockey League, NHL and National Basketball Association, NBA. Unlike other box lacrosse leagues which play in the summer, the NLL plays its games in the winter and spring, from December to June. Living Things is an American punk rock band from St. Louis, Missouri. The band consists of the brothers Lillian Berlin (vocals/guitar), Eve Berlin (bass), and Bosh Berlin (drums), and Cory Becker (guitar). History Brothers Lillian Berlin (born Lawrence Rothman), Eve Berlin (born Justin Yves Rothman and sometimes known as Yves Berlin), and Bosh Berlin (born Joshua Rothman) grew up in the suburbs of St. Louis. Future Living Things guitarist Cory Becker was a childhood friend. The band self-released two early EPs produced by Steve Albini, and gained the attention of several record labels. Connor Watson
Connor Watson (born 31 May 1996) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who plays as a and for the Sydney Roosters in the NRL. He previously played for the Newcastle Knights in the National Rugby League, and played for the Country Origin side. Early life Watson was born in Dubbo, New South Wales, Australia and is of Indigenous Australian descent. At the age of five, he moved to Avoca Beach, New South Wales. Clarke Petterson (born August 23, 1997) is a Canadian professional lacrosse player with the Cannons LC of the Premier Lacrosse League and the Halifax Thunderbirds of the NLL. He attended The Hill Academy in Ontario, Canada, and played collegiate lacrosse at Cornell University. College career Petterson was an Honorable Mention All-Ivy in 2017, second-team All-Ivy in 2019, and a USILA All-American in 2019. Shawn Evans (born April 28, 1986, in Peterborough, Ontario) is a Canadian professional lacrosse player who plays for the Vancouver Warriors in the National Lacrosse League, and the Connecticut Hammerheads of Major League Lacrosse. Evans' brothers, Scott and Stephen have also played in the NLL.
