Haliburton Highlands Secondary School (HHSS) is a small secondary school situated in Haliburton, Ontario, Canada, and is located on Head Lake. The school provides grades 9-12 education for all of Haliburton County and its surrounding area. Activities Haliburton Highlands Secondary School has strong drama and music programs. The school's drama students have participated in the filming of the Camp Rock films. The art program at the school includes the opportunity for students to earn a college credit alongside their high school diploma at the Haliburton School of the Arts. There is also a robotics team that has been operating since 2015. The United Townships of Dysart, Dudley, Harcourt, Guilford, Harburn, Bruton, Havelock, Eyre and Clyde, commonly known as the Municipality of Dysart et al, is a municipality in Haliburton County in Central Ontario, Canada. Badminton
Badminton is a racquet sport played using racquets to hit a shuttlecock across a net. Although it may be played with larger teams, the most common forms of the game are "singles" (with one player per side) and "doubles" (with two players per side). Badminton is often played as a casual outdoor activity in a yard or on a beach; formal games are played on a rectangular indoor court. Points are scored by striking the shuttlecock with the racquet and landing it within the opposing side's half of the court. The Buffalo Sabres are a professional ice hockey team based in Buffalo, New York. Cody Hodgson
Cody Douglas Hodgson (born February 18, 1990) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey centreman. Hodgson played at the major junior level for four seasons with the Brampton Battalion of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). After being selected tenth overall in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft by the Vancouver Canucks, Hodgson won the William Hanley Trophy (OHL's most sportsmanlike player), the Red Tilson Trophy (OHL player of the year), the CHL Player of the Year Award, and his first Team All-Star honours for the 2008–09 season. While training in the 2009 off-season, Hodgson suffered a back injury that required him to take an entire year off of hockey in order to fully recover. Matthew Duchene (; born 16 January 1991) is a Canadian professional ice hockey centre for the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League (NHL). He has previously played in the NHL for the Colorado Avalanche, Ottawa Senators, and Columbus Blue Jackets. Duchene was selected third overall by the Avalanche in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. Mike Bradley (Canadian Football)
Mike Bradley (born September 16, 1978 in Haliburton, Ontario) is a former Canadian Football League running back for the Edmonton Eskimos. He attended Haliburton Highlands Secondary School (HHSS). In Bradley's senior year, he ran a 10:84 in the 100m which remains the school's record to this day. He is a graduate from the University of Waterloo, where he started in 1997. Curling
Curling is a sport in which players slide stones on a sheet of ice toward a target area which is segmented into four concentric circles. It is related to bowls, boules, and shuffleboard. Two teams, each with four players, take turns sliding heavy, polished granite stones, also called ''rocks'', across the ice ''curling sheet'' toward the ''house'', a circular target marked on the ice.
