Halftime (song)
"Halftime" is the 1992 debut single by American rapper Nas, released under his original moniker of Nasty Nas. It was originally recorded for the '' Zebrahead'' soundtrack album, released October 13, 1992, on Ruffhouse Records. "Halftime" was produced by Large Professor and features samples of drums and vocals from "Schoolboy Crush" by Average White Band, horns from "Soul Traveling" by Gary Byrd, and the bassline from "Dead End" from the Japanese cast recording of the musical '' Hair''. The song was later included on Nas' 1994 debut album, ''Illmatic''. Content "Halftime" features an up-tempo beat led by percussion and trumpets over which Nas rhymes. James Campbell (born March 27, 1969), better known by his stage names Freddie Foxxx and Bumpy Knuckles, is an American rapper and music producer from Long Island, New York. Biography Foxxx got his start rapping in the early 1980s. Tram 11 is a Croatian rap group consisting of Nenad Šimun "Target" and Srđan Ćuk " General Woo". It is named after a tram line, number 11, that connects the western part of Zagreb from where Target is, with the eastern part where General Woo lived. It was one of the first prominent rap acts from Zagreb. History The group formed in 1996. Donald Mason, also known as Vakill (Born in March 21, 1975) is an American rapper from Chicago, Illinois. Vakill is known through his association with Chicago Hip Hop collective The Molemen, and has released three studio albums. Early years Raised on the South side of Chicago on 119th Street, Vakill was involved in Hip Hop at as early as eight years old, originally focusing on the break dancing element of the culture. Cella Dwellas are an underground hip hop duo from Flatbush, Brooklyn, consisting of emcees UG and Phantasm. The group is largely known for their dark beats and lyricism.
