Haley Moore
Haley Nicole Moore (born November 24, 1998) is an American professional golfer. Early life and junior golf Moore was born in Crystal Lake, Illinois and attended San Pasqual High School in Escondido, California where she was a member of the golf team. She graduated in June 2016. Moore qualified for the 2015 ANA Inspiration by winning the ANA Inspiration Champions Junior Challenge. She was the only amateur to make the cut and finished tied for 67th place. College golf As a junior, Moore won the deciding match in the 2018 NCAA Women's Golf Championship, to give Arizona the title over the University of Alabama. After her junior and senior seasons at University of Arizona, Moore attained the position of #21 on the World Amateur Golf Rankings. Crystal Lake is a city in McHenry County in the U.S. state of Illinois. Named after a lake southwest of the city's downtown, Crystal Lake is 45 miles northwest of Chicago. Junior Solheim Cup
The Junior Solheim Cup is a version of the Solheim Cup for girls aged 12 to 18. It was inaugurated in 2002. It is currently officially called the PING Junior Solheim Cup. The Junior Solheim Cup follows a similar format to The Solheim Cup and features the top 12 U.S. amateur girls—defined as girls participating in American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) events—versus their European counterparts. College/university golfers are ineligible to participate in the event, even if they meet the age cutoff. The event is held over two days, with six fourball and six foursomes matches on the first day, and twelve singles matches on the second day. Qualifying School
In professional golf, the term qualifying school is used for the annual qualifying tournaments for leading golf tours such as the U.S.-based PGA and LPGA Tours and the European Tour. A fixed number of players in the event win membership of the tour for the following season, otherwise known as a "tour card", meaning that they can play in most of the tour's events without having to qualify. They join the leaders on the previous year's money list/order of merit and certain other exempt players as members of the tour. Getting through the qualifying school of an elite tour is very competitive and most professional golfers never achieve it. There can be up to four stages to negotiate, each of them like a regular golf tournament with only a small number of players going on to the next stage. The Cactus Tour is an unofficial developmental golf tour, or mini-tour, for women golfers which operates in the American Southwest. It bills itself as "The Tour for Women Golf Professionals in the Western United States!". ''Golfweek'' termed it " an Arizona-based mini-tour for up-and-coming women’s professionals." Description It has lower entry requirements, and lower prizes, than the LPGA Tour (the U.S.-based professional women's golf tour) and the Epson Tour (formerly the "Futures Tour" and then the "Symetra Tour", which in 1999 became the official development tour for the LPGA).
